Which camera should I take to Egypt?

Need a camera which shows detail and colour
I'm a housewife with a new interest in cameras and pictures. I have just spent the last I hour travelling the world with wonderful pictures seen on Flikr
I keep buying cameras and on my last holiday, everyone was staring when I put 5 cameras on the security belt at the airport as I do not know which camera I should use. I want to achieve good clear pictures of people and street scenes around Egypt. Could you answer the following questions, I would be so grateful.
I. Will my Panasonic FZ8 get similiar quality pictures to a FZ5.
2. The Nikon D60 captures colours beautifully, will my Nikon D200 get similiar pictures or should I buy the D60.
3. Do you know any Canon Slr which really gives crystal clear pictures of people and travel locations.
4. I want to list my cameras, what do you think of them. SONY P200, SONY P100, Canon IXUS 1000, NIKON D200, OLYMPUS E -450 SLR, PANASONIC FZ8,
I want to travel to Egypt and only take 1 camera. What camera should I buy. I like pictures capturing the warmth or emotions in faces, the warm colour of the sea and the temples. I tend to take close up pics and don't not use long lens. Finally, are there any good sites to see peoples pictures with the names of cameras used

Which Canon is most like this Nikon?

Which Canon is most comparable to the Nikon D300s?
I was instructed to buy the Nikon D300s ($1, 600) for a class because it is "professional".

I'd rather get a Canon as advised earlier, although I'd like a newer model that is comparable to the Nikon as far as features. My biggest concern is that the instructor is going to show us how to do something & i'm going to have to pull out the manual everytime because my model will most likely work differently (buttons, etc) than the Nikon.

Here are some I found:
Canon EOS Rebel XS (too old?)
Canon EF-S
Canon 18-5515 Kit

What camera lens is affordable out of these choices?

So, my friend asked me for advice on buying lenses for a dSLR. Specifically for a Nikon d300. He wants a tilt shift, a fish eye lens, or a wide angle lens. Of course he did a bit of research and found that a tilt shift can range for $200-2000.

Would someone list some good lenses out of those categories at an affordable price for the Nikon d300? I'd be most grateful.

Recommended Nikon Dslr?

I have decided to get a nikon Dslr but i have yet to decide which one. I have about $500 to spend on one as the rest will go towards a Nikkor 60mm 2.8 D micro lens. I do alot of outdoor shooting and some indoors, mostly macro, still lifes, and portrait photography.
I originally made a post looking for a rugged dslr but i decided if i got something less rugged i could always buy camera armor if it meant a better system overall. I'm basically looking for something to hold me over for a couple months until i'm able to purchase a D300 or D90. I'm not looking for an entry level if i can avoid it but that seems to be about all i can find for under $500 lol

Added (1). I never said i was looking for a new one, i'm perfectly content with a used Dslr. I have looked at the d200 and it is what i'm looking for but the noise at higher then 400 iso is pretty bad and the NR at 400 makes all blacks deeper and "ugly" from what i understand.

Added (2). I believe i will probably go for the D5000 or i can get the D90 and hold off on the 60mm for now

Nikon do it all lense?

Looking for a do it all lense for my nikon d300? Looking for a midrange zoom w/ macro capabilities w/ f 2.8.So far all I could find is the 24-85mm f 2.8-4 or the sigma 17-70mm. Some forums they say the nikon 24-85 is too soft tho so seeing if there's something better. I want to use the lense as my walk-around lense for trips and also have it be good enough for low light (for weddings). Does such a lense exist?

Best Lenses for Sony Alpha A55?

I have a Sony Alpha A55 that I have an 18-55mm lens on. The problem that I'm having with this lens is that I'm wanting a better zoom and also more wide angle, although a better zoom is a LOT more important to me. My budget is around 500. My question is that I found a zoom lens that goes up to 200mm and it costs 250. I'm not sure if I should buy this lens at the cheaper price or go ahead and invest more money. Also, looking to get another camera? Would like an experienced photographer to give me some suggestions? I'm interested in the Nikon D700. Although I love the Sony Alpha A55, I'm wanting something a little more professional and that I can learn more from. I feel like the Sony Alpha is really user friendly. Thanks alot in advance! And before anyone says anything, Yes, I'm a very good photographer and yes I do need to learn more about photography and lenses, so please no lectures as I have seen with other simple questions.
