Any way of getting a new lens if you never registered nikon with your old lens?
I don't know about registering lenses or cameras with nikon and i don't think I ever did…
So I broke my 18-55mm lens kit and don't believe that i ever registered it with nikon. If I register it now what will happen?
If i used the built-in flash, will the flash cast a shadow on my Nikon 18-200mm lens?
I want to know this before I buy this lens.
If i used the built-in flash, will the flash cast a shadow on my Nikon 18-200mm lens? - 1
I'm planning on buying a Nikon VR 18-200mm lens. I'm just wondering if I use my built-in flash, will it cash a shadow on the lens once I take the picture? Or is the lens short enough?
>FIRST OF All I'm NOT PROFESSIONAL<
So my Nikon L20 point and shoot's lens got dented so I was thinking of upgrading to a DSLR.
I want to try and learn the manual modes and such.
But where I live (Malaysia) DSLRs are very expensive so I was wondering if there were any DSLR's within the US$500 (RM 1400) range with these qualities:
>Good photo quality
>Live View
>Easy to use for beginners
>Video perhaps?
>A good amount of pixels (10mpx?)
>Nikon/Canon (preferebly Nikon)
>Old or new versions
Do you know any really good cameras?
I was looking at DSLR Cameras…
Like Canon, Nikon, Sony
But they're really expensive…
I'm only allowed to spend at the most $250.
D: Is there a camera out there that takes good pictures?
Zoom Lens with smaller f-stops?
I'm using a Nikon F I'm looking to buy 80 to 200 mm or 70 to 300 mm with smaller f- stops say one that will go down to f:90 or f:128
Added (1). Even a f:45 or F:64 would help it can even be as wide opening as F:12 that goes to f:45, F:64
Recently, I tried using my Diana Telephoto Lens. I have a Nikon adapter, so I was using that also. I put my camera onto manual, as the camera doesn't pick up the lens on auto. However, the pictures are coming out black, when I try to use the flash, it says 'Flash is in TTL mode. Choose another setting or use a CPU lens.'
How do I fix it so I can use my new lens?
Added (1). My Nikon is set to manual. I figured that part out, it's just not taking pictures with flash, however is without (I figured the lighting was too dark, as I tested it out with my other Nikon lenses and they were all the same, dark without flash but worked with)
Buying a nikon as a starting camera?
I've been wanting a DSLR for abouyt a year, so i decided on getting one. I'm not looking to evolve as a photographer or anything, i just want it as a hobby that i can enjoy. Is the Nikon D30000 a good starter camera? It has a guide mode which seems pretty cool because i have no idea how to work it! It also seems basic enough that i can get the hang of it and be satisfied with it. What do you think?
*also, i've been looking to buy it at bestbuy because its the cheapest there ($450)… Are there any other places that would have it cheaper?
Now, my biggest gripe and complain about Canon is they are over priced as hell, but that's because the Quality is top notch. However I work with this half German guy who introduced me to Pentax and I really like the DSLR he let me borrow the other day. I basically want something that does photography with a 1080p HD recording up to 32 gigs of memory. I hear Nikon is always good, probably better for intermediate photography. What is really the best way to get quality for somebody like me who's budget is only $500 - $700?
How to tell if a vintage Nikon camera flash works?
I just bought a box of random items at a sale and inside was a vintage 80s Nikon camera flash and lens. The flash is a Sunpak auto30DX Thyristror. I currently do not have a camera that this will work with. I put batteries in the compartment but was not able to get any of the lights to turn on and the ready/test button did not do anything. Does this flash need to be attached to a camera for it to work?
