Zoom Lens with smaller f-stops?

I'm using a Nikon F I'm looking to buy 80 to 200 mm or 70 to 300 mm with smaller f- stops say one that will go down to f:90 or f:128

Added (1). Even a f:45 or F:64 would help it can even be as wide opening as F:12 that goes to f:45, F:64

Are you really meaning that you want a lens with a tiny aperture? F32 or f64 is usually the smallest aperture you'll get in a commercially available lens.

If you mean you want a WIDE aperture (ie small f number) then about the widest you can go in a telephoto would be f2.8 - and fast lenses like these (esp.zooms) are not cheap. Nikon's 70-200mm f2.8 is around £1200.

F:128? Why?

If you are wanting to reduce the amount of light entering your camera by using a small aperture (large f-number) you could also limit the light by using an and filter.

Why would you want f128? You'll get so much aberration that the picture would be useless.

The only difference between these two shots is aperture.

Wider aperture (f10)

Smaller aperture (f22)

The halos are caused by aberration on the aperture. Imagine the aberration with f128! Having the Sun in shot is an extreme example, but any highlight will halo at f128.

If you want really slow shutter speeds use Neutral density filters like everybody else.
