Does the Nikon EM have manual override?

I'm going to take a class that requires an SLR with manual override. I'm not really sure what manual override means. Does this camera have it?

Professional camera under 600 dollars?

I'm looking for a small camera, that takes great photos with stunning image quality, for under 600.
I fell in love with the Nikon D550 but can't afford it sadly D: so I was wondering what some cheaper alternatives to that would be.

All I need is HD video, burst photos, and a professional lens that has GREAT IMAGE QUALITY. Image quality is really all I care about, all my other digital cameras take ugly pictures and I really just need a camera that takes professional photos, that look like real life.

Preferably I would want a small-sized camera, that I can fit nicely in my hand, but it doesn't matter.

Old SLR Camera Issue?

Recently my friend gave me one of his old 35mm Film SLR cameras that he never used. The lens on the camera is an M42 or 42mm thread mount. Turns out the aperture blades in the lens that came with it are broken/twisted and out of place. I was just wondering, is it possible to mount an F-Mount lens from my Nikon DSLR onto an old SLR with any sort of an adapter?

Thanks for your time!

Added (1). ** The camera has a 42mm screw mount on the body!

Does this sound like a good camera?

I'm looking for my first high-tech digital camera.based on the description, can any professional photographers tell me if this would be a good one for beginners? I'm kind of skeptical because it's used and i read that they released this particular series in 1982, but i would have 14 days to return it for a full refund. Please let me know what i should look for in a camera and how old of a model i can trust if this one doesn't fit the bill.thanks.
