Can all DSLRs use manual lenses?

I inherited a bunch of lenses from my older brother from his old Nikon FE-10 but I was thinking of buying a digital SLR camera. Should I just sell these or could I use these with any DSLR?

Good Quality Canon Lens to buy?

I don't know anything about camera's, but all i want is a good quality camera with a detachable lens that's nikon or canon under 300$, and i asked this question and someone on here recommended the Canon EOS D30 3MP Digital SLR camera, because it's $154 on Amazon, but it was the body only.
SO. I need a lens. And i don't know anything about lens either, but i don't want it to be over $100, i don't know how much they cost.
Any suggestions i can look up? Help?

Do pocket digicams really offer manual adjustments?

Talking about digicams from Sony, Canon, Nikon, etc. I've noticed that five years ago or so, the so called 'high end', used to offer 'manual modes', where you could change Stops, Speeds, Iso, and even some weird types of 'focusing tools', but once you got the prints or even on the screen, it was almost impossible to distinguish a perspective that could be taken as depth of field…
So, these pocket cameras only offer a fake manual mode that badly mimic a SLR, or they really can make these adjustments?

Entry level camera for a noobie?

I'm studying to be a graphic designer and am looking for a camera that can take high quality pictures that I can use for reference images. Now, I'm not a camera buff, I don't know anything about cameras or how they really work. So, I was looking for a camera under $500 that is a good entry level noobie friendly camera, that would allow me to get to know and learn the features available to cameras.

I saw a recertified nikon 3000 for $350 I believe, is that a good entry level camera? And would getting recertified be a good money saver?
