I'm planning to buy an entry level SLR.
Please advice which should i opt for Canon or Nikon.
I do not want to invest much on the lenses although i would like ample zoom.
Please advice which would be the best option below Rs 35000.
I do know that if a camera has inbuilt autofocus the lenses can come cheap.
Please advice with reasons?
What do all the camera experts think on the new 1DX?
As announced today by Canon? Http://www.canonrumors.com/
How about the $6800 price point? For me? That is steep and I'd be selling 3 cameras to put myself into it. Definitely something to consider, but then again the features packed into it definitely make it worth the $. I know I want out of the 5D2 at the very least.
For video how about the new 29.9 minute limit? That is actually USEABLE! Hopefully that will carry over to the new 5D3 when it comes out (soon?) I have never used the video on my cameras, but it definitely would change a lot of things for those that do.
The new sensor technology has me excited. I really am anxious to see the high ISO testing and how it performs.
The focus system? Now that has me hooked.
I think for me personally it means waiting until the next 5D is announced and seeing how it sizes up to this. If it just doesn't cut it (which to me the 5d2 doesn't cut it when compared to the 1D III and IV or the 7D-or Nikon's comparable bodies) then I'll be selling the 5d2, the 1d3 and the 50D and buying a new 1Dx. Of course I'll be throwing in all of my pennies and a couple of children to get there, but it might just be worth it.
Added (1). Hondo-that's where we differ greatly. I HATE my 5d2 for most things. Portraits and weddings? It's beautiful. Everything else? It can collect dust. Especially now that I have replaced the 50D with the 7D and have found I can use it for sports with outstanding results at high ISO's. It really added to my disappointment in the 5d2.
Are SLR Camera Lens compatible with a Digital Camera?
I'm thinking about purchasing a new Digital DSLR camera, but am wondering if the lens I currently have for my Nikon N90 SLR are compatible. Any advice?
Diana lens compatible with the nikon/canon adapters?

What accessories does this Nikon DSLR have on it?
Ok i know its a Nikon D2 but i don't know what's on it LOL
Is AF in-body for beginner Canon DSLRs?
I know that Nikon beginner DSLR's require the AF to be done by a motor in-lens, rather than having the motor in-body. Are Canon beginner (ie t3i, t2i) DSLR's the same way, or do they have an AF motor in-body?
Which DSLR cameras are better Nikon or Canon?
I'm thinking of buying a DSLR camera. I haven't bought one before and I was wanting to get some suggestions. I need one that is easy to figure out. The main type of photography I do is Macro. Can you please help me?
Added (1). And around $500.
Added (2). Or less
Camera LCD onto Computer Screen?
I have a Nikon L110.
Is there any way I can have the image on the camera's LCD screen to appear on a computer screen while taking photos?
What SLR camera would work best for me?
I'm not looking for anything too complicated. I mostly like these cameras for the fast shutter speed and interchangeable lenses. I've never owned one and I don't know what brand would be best or if buying one of the cheaper ones is a bad decision($500 Nikon as opposed to the $800)? Again I'm not looking for super advanced features I was also hoping there was a a colorful one? I'm getting one to be creative with photography so it would be nice if there was one that comes in a nice color to match that.
