Is the Nikon D5000 compatible with the Macbook Pro?

I was wondering if the Nikon D5000 is compatible with the Macbook Pro. I was going to buy a Nikon D5000, but my mom found a review online from somebody saying that their Nikon D5000 was not compatible with their Macbook Pro. Now, I'm hesitant to order it. Can anybody confirm that it is/isn't compatible with the Macbook Pro?
Please say if you use the Nikon D5000 with a Macbook!

What lens is good for macro?

I want to get into macro/micro photography, and i have a Nikon D3000 camera. I have been told that the 65mm will work but it doesn't have auto focus, which i won't do because if you're photographing bugs you NEED auto focus for a split second shot. I have looked at this one as well,

AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR
105mm f/2.8G IF-ED

But is it the only one out there that is under a thousand dollars? AND is auto focus? Help!

Added (1). Thats what i meant was 60mm. So the 60mm AF-S will work well?

Nikon D5000 Flash Issue?

I'm pretty sure my camera's flash is broken… Does anyone know if I could bring this into a store and get it repaired? Or could I get an external flash for my camera and that'd work too, or does the external flash need the original flash to work? I'm confused, please help, thank-you.x

What expense can I expect to pay to repair CF slot on Nikon D70?

It appears that at least one of the pins in the CF slot of my D70 has been damaged or bent, not allowing the memory card to seat correctly. I realize the camera has become outdated and my question is this: Is the repair of my D70 potentially going to cost more than it would be worth to invest in a new DSLR? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Nikon d7000 Vidoe Noise?

Hi

I'm trying to shoot video using nikon d7000. Shutter speed was 50 and tried iso settings from 400-3200. But instead of hd vidoe all i get is noise in the video. It just looks like that i'm using a camera from last century. Day light video is crystal clear however if i shoot in the night time there's always noise?

Is there any specific settings i can use in camera to reduce noise? I can use different plugin later on while editing but first i want to get some crystal clear video.

Any help would be appreciated

thank you

Added (1). Thanks for the answer, but i have seen crystal clear video shotted at night time.

for example:

I hope they haven't use any external light to shoot the video and these video are crystal clear. I'm not talking about the subject having a exposure to light.instead shouldn't it create a crystal clear video overall…

What are the advantages of a prime lens and lower f stop number?

I recently purchased a Nikon D3100 with the kit lens and a 55-200mm lens.
However, a friend recommended that I invest in a prime lens with a higher aperture value.

If I were to buy one I think I would be purchasing the AF-S 35mm 1.8

However, I was wondering what the real advantage of this lens would be?
What are the advantages of any prime lens? What are its practical uses?
Also, what are the real advantages of a lower f stop number?

I know a lower f stop number will create a more shallow depth of field, but would this make a drastic difference in the final image in comparison to the 3.6 available on my kit lens?

If someone could clarify on this topic, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, if there are any other differences, feel free to make mention of them. I'm really getting into photography recently and wouldn't mind learning something new. :]

Will the price of nikon cameras go up or down in the future?

I really want a Nikon D7000, but its about 1500 dollars.

If I buy it now, I would have to borrow money from my parents, but I would also have the support of my photo teacher/class (which ends in june). Plus I'm going to be doing a lot of stuff in may which i would like to photodocument.

If I buy it in July, hopefully I would've worked long enough to have 1500 in the bank. However, I would have to teach myself, and might end up missing out opportunities.

Do you think the price of the Nikon D7000 will go up or down in the near future, and by how much? I know they were a bit cheaper before the earthquake, but not by much. Do you think stores will have deals soon?
