My camera doesn't take like scene photos?
Its on auto, and it doesn't take scene photos (landscape, anything from a distance).
unless whatever i'm taking if within a few feet in front of it, my camera won't shoot!
i just switched the lens, and they're not the problem… Any help?

Haha this may seem really weird, but because I'm going to be a Senior in high school, I kind of want to have that "artsy" look… I shop at Urban Outfitters and like flea markets for vintage-y clothes, but i don't know what else I should get haha

About the Nikon D5000 (and most likely applies to all other cameras)?
Sometimes I'll be in a specific mode, Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority mainly, and the one that is being automatically adjusted by the camera will say Lo if it's too dark, or Hi if it's too bright. For example, if I'm in a dark room shooting in A, and I set it to f/3.5 (the max aperture), the shutter speed may read Lo, meaning it needs a long exposure time for it to be proper. However, I'd like to know what the exact time is. Is there any way to adjust this so it will say it?

so I'm going to buy my self a birthday gift a SLR but I'm confused if I will buy LUMIX GF1 or NIKON D5000, I like the Lumix because it is compact, it has manual zoom and focus and it is a SLR in a Digicam Size. And I like NIKON d5000 because of its features and it VIDEO, help me to choose between the two or suggest something better as long as it have a video. I'm buying a SLR for me to create better Youtube videos and short films so help me: D

I have a Nikon D90. Don't know how to use it so well. I was reading that ISO is control for brightness of the shot, but i moved around, it doesn't seem to work so well. I moved from 4, 5, and to 32.it still look the same. What I'm suppose to change in the settings for brighter image?
