How to be more artsy?
Haha this may seem really weird, but because I'm going to be a Senior in high school, I kind of want to have that "artsy" look… I shop at Urban Outfitters and like flea markets for vintage-y clothes, but i don't know what else I should get haha
I have a Nikon D40 for pictures, but I want a film camera but my parents won't let me buy one.
What kind of clothes should I wear that would make me more "artsy"? And, how should I wear my hair then? Haha
it's cause i want a new "style" before i go to college next year as a Freshman so ya
Artsy is whatever floats your boat, see something you like, get it! Then the thing is to mix & match in a slightly artful way. For example, matching the tone of your jeans w/ tone of jacket/shirt. I know this may sound weird, but have you ever noticed how some jeans are blue-gray, others are super blue, and others are a brownish blue? Well they are.a bright shirt goes good with the super blue; brown, orange, yellow, dingyish shirts look good with the brown-blue, and for the gray-blue blacks & whites look nice.you'll develop an eye for it.
also, matching patterns & colors is great.pinstripes look good with bold florals, small polkadots go good with textured fabrics… Blah blah…
bright colors like yellow, red & green are good. I know this one artsy chick who wears red shoes/lipstick and a yellow trench.things like that work nice.
hair you might want to get creative… Extreme curls, super straight, perfect waves… Also a good set of modern bangs look awesome.find your own style in super long, or layered, or a bob.pick one, experiment… The point is to do something bold that you like.
