Can you an external mic for video's with the d90?

Can you add an external mic for better quality audio to the nikon d90

Nope… It doesn't have a mic input. BUT it's better to use a separate recoding device anyway. You just mate the audio to your video in post. A device like a voice recorder or a field recorder will have an on-board mic(s) and one or more external mic inputs (2 or more channels). And you can adjust gain and balance the audio too. Make sure you use a good quality microphone(s).
The Zoom H1 and the H4n are a couple of recorders to consider. I have the H4n. It makes a world of difference over a tiny cam mic.
