I need a dslr camera. Can't afford more than 300 USD. Any suggestions?

I checked out Nikon D3000, way too expensive for me. I prefer to get something from Nikon or Canon, but open to any other suggestions too.

Buying a fish eye lens adaptor?

I have a nikon d3000 and I have seen a few photos that have been taken with a fish eye lens. I can't afford a good one (about $1000) but I've heard fish eye lens adaptors are a bit of fun? I've done a bit of research and have found on ebay that you can get a 0.18x lens
(http://cgi.ebay.com/Zeikos-18x-High-Definition-Fisheye-Lens-Fish-Eye-NEW-/200515731256?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item2eafab3f38#ht_7514wt_1137)
Or there's ones with different focal lengths like 0.22x and 0.42x? I'm wondering what to get for the best 'fish eye lens'? Does anyone have any photos they can show me they've taken with the lenses etc?

I've done it before a million times but this time for some reason it just won't click into place. I've followed the manual instructions but no joy.

New user with Nikon D5000

So i got this Nikon D5000 two days ago and I barely have any ideas ow to use these features. Like modeling, fashion, landscapes, etc.
Pictures that I'm inspired to take are like:

and
New user with Nikon D5000

etc. I was wondering what settings do you need to put for self portrait photos like the first two examples to have great quality with nice colors?

Also I'm getting a tripod and I have the basic 18-55mm lenses.

Canon rebel vs nikon d90?

I want to either buy the canon rebel or the d90. I want a camera that i can over the years buy more lenses for, and don't know which to buy. I'm a very experienced photographer, and want a camera thats in for the long haul. (money is not a big problem in the situation) also, which rebel would be the best? It seems like there's a million different types

I have a nikon D3000, and I'm using a film lens

I'm using a lens that my teacher gave me and it's a Vivitar 75-205 mm 1:3.8 Close Focusing Auto Zoom lens. Now, I'm using a DSLR and this is A MANUEL lens, while I have a digital Nikon D3000 but It fits fine, but i can't set my aperture? I've looked up so much stuff, and I'd really appreciate it if I can get someone's help on this.

What are the best lens choices for my Nikon D5000 for portrait photograhy?

I've been using the lens my camera came with, which is a standard 18-55mm, for about a year now. Since I'm not that experienced yet, it's done me a whole lot of good, but I'm eager to advance and get a better lens soon. So what would be the next "step up" for portrait/still life photography in my case, lens-wise?

Buying a Nikon D5000 on ebay?

So I'm thinking of buying a Nikon D5000. They're reasonably priced on eBay (camera shops here retail them for over $1000). I notice the ones sent from Hong Kong are the cheapest (around $400-$600). Would these be the real deal, or a fake version of the camera?

I've had my Nikon D60 for just over a year now, and I've got a little problem. When I push my memory card into the slot, it won't click in properly, thus, being unable to read the card.
