Digital SLR camera suggestions for beginners? And Nikon vs Canon?
This year for a christmas/birthday combination present I'm planning to get a digital SLR camera. However I'm not sure what would be the best option for me to get seeing as though this will be my first professional camera. I've tried to do some research but I'm so torn, I mean there are so many great options from both Nikon and Canon. I need help picking out what camera I should get, and which brand is better? Your opinions are greatly appreciated!
Where to find Rollei lens for digital camera?
Would any one knows please help? I've purchased a Nikon Camera with some additional lenses from "Campaq electronics"(but invoice shows company as Square United Cam) at #02-72 Sim Lim Square. Later on I found that the Rollei DSLR Pro wide converter w/macro 0, 5x 52mm has no proper package and no model number stated; what's more, I can't find any such similar product online or even on Rollei official website. The Square United Cam charged me $700+ for this lens (they claimed it's model RCML-05052B) and I now doubt about it.
What camera brand is better in your opinion? Nikon or Canon?

Looking for a Professional Camera under $800! Too many options
I'm looking for a camera that won't make my pics look all digital and cheapy because I love to take pics and have done graduation photos for friends before. One of my friends recently asked me to take her engagement and wedding photos and well I don't think my Canon PowerShot SX210IS is going to get the job done! I'm currently looking at this http://www.amazon.com/...004V4IWKG/ But I want all the bang I can get for my buck ( Camera, Lens, Extras)! Please Help! PS: I'd like not to spend anymore than $800!

Which DSLR camera should I invest in?
I having been taking photos of people for about a year now and am looking to upgrade my camera. I don't claim to be a 'Professional' but I do understand that it isn't necessarily the equipment that makes a good photo, but the skill. On the same note, though, I would like a camera to take more clear photos than mine does now and one with a rechargeable battery. Therefore my question is, Canon, Nikon, or make a suggestion.
I'm not looking to go over $1000. Probably closer to $600 so I can get a separate lens also.
I take mostly portraits but also like to play with other concepts.
I can't get my nikon d500 to focus?
Basically, my nikon was fine. Then i tried to use it one day and the focus square wouldn't turn green. I then looked at my lens and it was dented around the outside. So i ordered a new lens to see if that was the problem, I attached my new lens and i still can't get it to focus.
Is Kodak cameras better than canon and nikon slr cameras?

How come pictures do not appear in the SD card when connected to computer?
When I view pictures on my camera (with or without the SD card) they are all shown there. But when I connect it to the laptop using a USB cable, the pictures are not shown. Only 3 files are being shown (Bootex.txt, Nikon.dsc, WMPInfo). When I checked the Properties, it shows that the disk is almost full. How could I access my pictures? Please help…

Cameras! How to choose for outdoor/ quality/ brand/ removable lens?
What is the best brand for choosing the right camera in your opinion? Canon, Fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, Panasonik, Kodak, Olympus or any other type?
The type of camera I'm looking for is one for mostly outdoor nature shots day and night, and preferably a camera that is able to alternate lenses for better quality pictures.
Another good feature would be the "quick shot" capability ( not sure what its called -- where you can go *snap snap snap* without delay and the pictures take rapidly almost like a movie )
Also I don't mind if the best brand isn't a digital option but do prefer a camera with SD slot.
