What can i do to my 35mm film to have cool lomo effects?
I've always wanted a lomo camera but i just recently found my dad's old nikon slr film camera. Is there any way to manipulate my film physically or my camera to have cool effects just like plastic cameras? Like storing it somewhere? Or heating it up? Also, how do i get the light leaks effect? I'd like to be able to create these pictures without using photoshop. Is that possible?
I want to find a camera like the nikon 1 J1 but that costs less.

I'm new to this kind of thing and I have absolutely no idea where to start, I know most of you will say " it's not about the camera, it's how you use it." I'm just wondering which digital camera is the best to buy, in terms of quality.

I was looking into Nikon but I'm all for looking into other brands too. Also, a camera that isn't insanely overpriced. Something somewhat cheap but not cheezy - cheap. Thanks
