Best automatic slr 35mm camera for beginner student?
I need to get a 35mm camera for my photography class, but I'm a bit confused as to what would be a good one to get. I know I want a modern (auto/electronic) slr 35mm, because the manual ones are tripping me up.
I need one with the decent lens where I can adjust the aperture, shutter speed, and exposure. It also has to be able to take iso 400 film. I'd prefer to buy from a reputable place online and spend under $200, maybe even just $100 if possible. I'd also perfer Nikon or Canon.

Nikon 880 camera? Picture transfer?
I just found an old Nikon 880 camera at Goodwill, and I can't seem to get my pictures to transfer. I installed Nikon Transfer after having to find a newer version online, and it refuses to recognize the fact that I have images in my camera. It also won't recognize pictures on my iPod, and there are over 200 on it. I don't know if it just won't work with this camera, if I need to get a card reader, or what. I have the CompactFlash memory card for it, but there was no reader included. I can get one, but I don't know if it will work with a new Mac and I'd rather not spend the money if it won't work anyways.
So my questions. Nikon Transfer doesn't seem to work, any suggestions how to fix it? And: If I get a card reader, will it work with the newest Mac and Windows softwares?
