Messenger-style camera bags?

I've been looking for a camera bag that is an attractive, messenger style, canvas bag, but I really can't find one that I like. It has to be big enough to hold my Nikon DSLR and two lenses. It seems like what I want doesn't exist, but still I'm hopeful! Also, if it doesn't exist, then would it be okay for me to buy a regular messenger bag and then put a padded camera insert into it? Or is that a huge no-no?

Just looking for some advice, XOXOX

Nikon AF-S 35mm or 50mm?

I don't know if I should get the AF-S 35mm f/1.6G or the 50mm one. I hear great reviews for both. They look a bit similar too imo. What do you think I should get?

What would be a good DSLR for me?

I'm looking to get into photography professionally and have been taking classes here and there but am mostly self taught (Hey, most of the people I have talked to told a fine arts degree was a waste of money and I have a pretty extensive arts background anyway.) I have been starting to try and shoot models in a high fashion style and attempting dramatic Boudoir images (spelling? Doesn't look right to me for some reason… ) I have been using a Minolta SLR film camera (I know! But I couldn't afford a digital camera of the same quality) but want to upgrade to digital now. Like I said I would like to do this professionally eventually. I was considering a Canon T3i or the the Nikon equivalent. I can't really afford a super spiffy 2000-3000 dollar deal and wanted to know if the T3i would give me good quality images (My photographer friends all swear by Nikon and snub their noses at Canon.)
WIll this be a good camera while I try to build a portfolio and some more experience? Or is there another better in my price range?

Is the Nikon 200 f/2 AF-S VR II the sharpest lens made by Nikon?

A friend tells me that this lens, which he owns, is the sharpest lens currently made by Nikon and is even sharper than his Zeiss 100/2 Makro Planar. Is this so?

Is Nikon J1 a dslr camera?

Just wanna know if Nikon J1 is a dslr or a digital camera? It looks like a digital but it does have the lens so i'm confused.cause if it's a dslr, i'd like to buy one for myself. If it's not, then i'll have to find some others.

oh and, do you guys recommend me J1( if it's a dslr) or a camcorder( JVC GZ-ms215 Everio)? & for those of you who've a J1, is the picture taken clear? Cause as much as i know, it's only 10MP:\\
