Will this lens and teleconverter work OK together?

I have the Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Lens. I'm looking to get double the length on it for sports by adding a 2x teleconverter. The loss of 2 f-stops is not really a problem, as i shoot mainly in pretty bright light. Would this lens work ok with the Nikon AF-S TC-20E II Teleconverter? I know it is the older model, but I was looking to not spend a huge amount as I can't really shell out $600 for the AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III right now. Will this teleconverter work well with this lens? Thanks

Added (1). No, i know that they will work together, i just meant like would it be a good match up quality wise and how well it would work

Opinions on Canon EF 35mm f/2.0?

I have a Canon 50mm f/1.8 now but I'm finding the focal length very constricting and the focusing to be rather inaccurate - especially compared to the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 I had when I had a Nikon.

I'd like to hear people's opinions on the Canon ef 35mm f/2.0.
Does it have accurate focusing? (I do a lot of self-portraits so it's a little hard to rely on manual focus)
Do you find the photos sharp at f/2.0? (I utilize bokeh in most of my photos so I'd like to be able to shoot at the widest aperture possible)

*I have a Canon 60D

Vignettes on photographs (DX lens on SLRs)?

I've been told that Nikkor DX lenses will create vignettes when used on a 35mm SLR camera. I just bought a Nikon F5 (with a lens included), but I've tried a couple DX lenses on this camera, and yet, I don't see vignettes through the view finder except on extreme close ups.

So far, I haven't use the camera (with film). Could it be possible that the vignettes come out on the photographs once they're developed even if I don't see them through the view finder?

Please adviseā€¦

Added (1). Correction: I only see the vignettes on low focal length (e.i. 18mm) vs. 55+ mm.

What exactly is it in the Nikon zoom lens that makes it so much better than the Tamron?

Before buying my Tamron lens for my Nikon D -40, I asked in this forum if Nikon was noticeably better than Tamron. I got two answers both of which said they were "okay" with Tamron. That should have been the tip off. My Tamron 18-200mm zoom lens takes very good photos but they don't come out crytal clear the way the Nikon lens can shoot them ( I borrowed a friend's zoom lens later). So my question: what exactly makes the difference in the Nikon, obviously the glass but much more must be involved.
