I just wanna make sure I got this all right with DSLR's?
Just wanna make sure I'm correct on most things, I need an expert on some of these things.
I need all questions answered if possible.
Just go like this if i'm right
1) YES
If i'm wrong
2) Wrong (Tell me everything you believe that's correct!)
2) Sort of. (Explain what I'm right about and what I'm wrong about)
Let's get started!
1) In manual mode going into the " (seconds range) after 30s you enter bulb mode?
2) Small f stop is low depth of field
3) Small f stop is larger aperture (bigger hole)
4) Large f stop is larger depth of field (can pretty much see further I guess?)
5) Large f stop is a smaller aperture (smaller hole)
6) My photos are too dark at night, I increase my exposure compensation for the BODY of the camera, increase my iso, and give a longer shutter speed - Right? (longer shutter speed which means longer exposure)
7) For bulb mode I would go ahead and set my aperture to f8 if for example I'm on a bridge and want light trails, have an exposure of about 17-25 seconds with ISO of around the 100-500 range.
8) The best way to increase light in my dark photos would be too?
9) Making a sparkler trail would use bulb mode with for example:
Rear flash: YES
Low ISO: 100-200
Bulb mode: YES
Exposure of approx 17-25 seconds like above or however long the trail would take for the pattern you want to make
What else?
10) Forgot how to set slow sync flash
11) In CH Mode, I want my BUILT-IN camera flash to burst, how May I go about doing this?
12) Depth of field works mostly only when you zoom in?
13) ISO doesn't work in [S] [A] [M] Modes, I get a better picture when I select [P] on my camera and let it do it for me! What am I doing wrong? I even have my ISO on H 0.3 and EC on 1.0!
14) How can I make the button above Fn Button (depth of field preview button if i'm right) work properly? It just darkens the Viewfinder heh, I'm using a Nikon d300s by the way I should have mentioned
15) Tiff makes a 2 page image - What's the point in that?
16) Does changing from L To M or S [Large, Medium, Small image sizes - resolution wise] Really change the amount of megapixels? I don't 100% notice much difference.
I will try and think of more questions haha but that's it for now

NIKON DSLR remote control can work for any of the cameras, correct?

and if i sell my D300 and buy another DSLR like the D5100
will it still be able to work for the D5100?

Added (1). Sorry i mean D3000

Why doesn't Nikon make any Compact System Cameras (CSC)?
I own a bucket full of lens and a few bodies, including some old FM series. I love the old ones for being so compact and rugged, leaving aside the minuses of 35mm film cameras.
Why won't Nikon make some CSCs? Sometimes people want a point and shoot with all the features af a SLR, espacially when they have invested in some good glass.
How can costumers let them know they would like a new product? Shall we start a forum, maybe there are other people thinking the same?
Added (1). Please inform yourself
Added (2). That is a great rumor boater.drink to that
Added (3). I tought a nikon CSC would be much like an entry level DSLR. Only without mirror. I already own a D40 and a D90. Looking forward to the day I will afford a D700.
my dream CSC would be a digital FM3A fitted with a screen for playback.
Added (4). English is not my first language SRry for my uncustomary spelling, i promise my accent is far worse

Good Cameras for teen girl? (Within price range)?
I'm taking a photography class for 4 years ( photo 1, 2, 3 etc.)
I need one I can take to school, but is still of high quality.
I currently have a
Sony Cyper Shot ( pink little digital camera ) 200 $, not worth it in my opinion.
And a Nikon d200 ( was 1, 200 $ w/out my two lenses, I'm forbidden to take it to school )
I'd prefer to pay 300 $ at the most. So it won't be a HUGE loss, like if I lost my Nikon.
( Remember, to take to school ;] )
Added (1). Amkay94 - Not what I'm looking for, thats more of a point and shoot camera, like my Cyber shot.
I'm thinking more of a small camera ( a little bigger than that), but it still has manual focus lenses, and shutter speed / apature adjusters.

I'm ordering a SPL Housing tonight, but need a good wide angle lens also. It would be for my nikon d700. I'm going to shoot waves crashing and surfers. I think the 14-24mm would be to heavy. I will spend about $1000 any suggestions?

Weird swirls on photo shot with 50mm 1.4?
Every time I shoot indoors ( light colored wall in the background) with my Nikon D700/ 50 mm 1.4 I get a weird swirl around my subject. Its like a vignette gone wrong. Its not as noticeable before I run an action on it in PS, but becomes rather bothersome after. Its even MORE noticeable when the image is printed or when I lower the brightness of my monitor. What am I doing wrong? Please Help!
Added (1). LInk to an example of BW photos. Notice the swirls. The light was not strong( shining in) from the windows behind him although it may appear that way.
Added (2). I'm shooting in RAW and then converting to jpeg after I did BW conversion in PS.
To person talking about my blown out highlights, this is an issue I often have. What can I do to lessen the blowouts? New to photography, learning new improvements a day at a time.
Yes I'm referring to the circular lines that are close to the wall in the background. Its more noticeable when printed. I hardly do any editing in my Adobe camera RAW program but I guess I should?! I often do most things in PS. The subject was getting light from back window and a window to the front right. It happens mostly when my subjects are facing a window I always get the swirl lines behind them on the light colored background( white wall). Thank you to everyone for your constructive help thus far!

Do I need a special charger for my Nikon D300?
Someone gave me a used Nikon D300 and I have no experience with using cameras of this type. I wanted to mess around with it and see if I could figure out how to use it, but the battery is dead. It has a Li-ion 7.4V 1500mAh battery. Do I need a special charger for it? I know this is probably an idiotic question, but please help.

I keep on hearing the term in photography and what exactly is it? I know it makes the picture look amazing, Do you do it with the camera or editing software? And how can I do it with my Nikon D2H?

I need a faster lenses for low light concert photography.any suggestions?
I'm in need of a faster lenses for taking photographs in low light. I'm not a fan of flash photography but I often shoot in low light. Lately I have been taking photos of local bands… Who come out blurry in my shots. I have a nikon D300. I'm also a college student, so I can't afford something too expensive.
I will happy to have any tips or suggestions.
