I have a Nikon d100 and a Vivitar macro lense.can i use the lense on the SLR-body?

Thank you.

Added (1). Thanks, I really don't know that much about cameras, so I appreciate your help. I bought the Vivitar lense at a garage sale, and got it cheap. (I also bought a Minolta xg-m camera. The lense doesn't have much information on it, therefore i don't know if its designed for nikon. It says "Vivitar macro 1:5x No.09726940."
Any more information out of that?

Added (2). Oops. I missed a part. It's a "Vivitar 70-210 mm 1:4.5-5.6 MC Macro Focusing Zoom Ø52 mm"

Is Canon going to replace 1Ds Mark III this year?

Are they going to replace it? I know they have introduced 2 new FF cameras this year (1dx and 5dm3) but they all are 22MP or less.nikon introduced d800 with 36MP. Do you think canon is going to introduce a FF camera with high MP number? Maybe 30 or something like that?

Full-frame vs cropped sensor in terms of vibrant/colorful photos?

I was looking at the test photos (presumably taken under the same conditions and settings) in the below link. One set of photos compare D800's DX (Nikon's APS-C) mode and D7000's photos (which is already DX). When I compare that set of photos to other sets where FX photos are compared (such as D800's FX mode vs D3s's FX mode), I see that the color of the photos in the latter sets is much more vibrant and colorful compared to the former set.

I know that full-frame has certain advantages over cropped sensor, but I was wondering whether (i) this is one of them; and (ii) the colors can be made as vibrant as FX photos via photoshop, and if so, whether this is easy and whether it requires to amend each and every color.

http://nikonrumors.com/2012/04/10/nikon-d800-vs-d3s-and-d7000-comparison-by-cary-jordan.aspx/

Thank you!

Added (1). PS. I'm not after an excuse or something. Please do not compare different generation DSLRs for the purposes of my question. I'm simply asking if there's a difference between full frame vs cropped in terms of color vibrancy. One says not. So then why does D800's photos in FX mode are much vibrant than DX mode in those photos?

What to Choose First: Nikon D700 Body or Nikon Af-s 70-200mm F/2.8g Ed Vr II?

I want to upgrade to full frame and yesterday I got two opportunities at the same time: either trade my Nikon D300s body (with a Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5 VRII and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye) PLUS $200 dollars for a Mint condition a Nikon D700 body… OR trade the three items for a Nikkor Af-s 70-200mm F/2.8g Ed Vr II missing its tripod mount? I have to monday till I decide and I'm finding it real hard. I appreciate your opinion.

Added (1). Well, I know that I'll end up having both, so I can wait a month or two while I'm getting either a new body or new lenses. I could either get the 70-200mm and then get a used d700 for the needed full frame or I could get the d700 body in great condition and then buy lenses (not the 70-200mm though but more like a 17-55 mm F/2.8; 135mm f/2 DC, 12-24mm, etc. I could even go for old lenses like the ones I found here:

http://www.kenrockwell.com/...lenses.htm

I do know that the resale value of the 70-200mm will last for a long time compared to the D700 body. Tough choice.

Nikkor 50mm 1.2 AI-s with D3?

I just bought an older manual 50mm 1.2 for my full frame D3. I set up the camera to read the aperture ring rather than the dial on the camera. This seems to work fine as far as it changing when I turn the ring, however, it's off by 2 stops. The dial will be set at 1.2 but the camera reads 2.8. 2.0 the camera reads 4.0 and so on. What do I need to change in custom settings to get the correct aperture reading?
