Nikon 24-85mm F2.8-4 or Tamron 28-105mm F2.8?
Which of these two would you rather get for a Nikon D700 as an all around lens, and why?
Added (1). I already have a 14-24mm f2.8 for wide, and a 80-200mm f2.8D for zoom, and a 50mm f1.8 for mid/low light. I just want to get a decent cheap FX/DX mid range lens I can take on trips with my D7000, but that will also work ok on my D700 when needed.
Anyone used the Black Magic Design Cinema camera or Nikon D800 yet?
If so… SPECIFICALLY, if you have tried both at a camera convention or even own one of them, how does the 2 compare?
They're both the same price, but I'm a cinematographer, I'm looking for the best I could buy with what I have saved.
Weather-proof Nikon DSLR bodies?
Sadly the Nikon website doesn't offer "weather-proof" as a search option. I was wondering which of their DLSR bodies were "weather-proof". I know that the ones like the D3 and D4 are but what about the others? Oh and please, I'm not looking for some debate here on a DSLR being water-proof. I know that they aren't water-proof… Thanks.

Is the Nikon D2X still a worthy camera?
I have an opportunity to buy a used Nikon D2X camera. I already have a couple dslr bodies but I'm considering this one as well. I was just wondering if others thought that this was still a worthy camera in today's market.
These are a series of shots posted by "Plush Glamour Photography & Design" the photographer is not revealing how she produced these… Does anyone know how to do this or what it is called… I have heard others refer to it as 'light leaks'

What camera lens should I take to a crazy concert?
In a month I'm going to STS9 (if you don't know this is a band like Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, it has that dubstep feel, electronic music) and the concert will obviously be CRAZY.
I have a Nikon D300 & want to know what lens I should bring…

and

BUT should I invest in something else for the concert?

What kind of external flash is compatible with Nikon D2H?
I just bought a Nikon D2H 3 days ago, and I don't have an external flash. I was searching the internet for an external flash but a lot came up, and I actually don't know which external flash is compatible with my D2H. I have a friend that has an SB-28 that's for sale for less than $50, it looks good and he said it's in good working condition, couple minor superficial but looks good overall. I was just wondering if the SB-28 will work on my D2H. I've read that wrong external flash can shut your camera completely and you won't be able to turn it on.
