Nikkor 50mm 1.2 AI-s with D3?

I just bought an older manual 50mm 1.2 for my full frame D3. I set up the camera to read the aperture ring rather than the dial on the camera. This seems to work fine as far as it changing when I turn the ring, however, it's off by 2 stops. The dial will be set at 1.2 but the camera reads 2.8. 2.0 the camera reads 4.0 and so on. What do I need to change in custom settings to get the correct aperture reading?

I'm guessing that it isn't possible. In all honesty, having a D3 means to me that you have enough experience to just ignore whatever the camera thinks anyway. If you won't control the camera through priority with that lens anyway, it matters little.
