I need a cheap DSLR that can deliver photos like THESE?
I was thinking something like a Nikon D40 or a Nikon D5000. The photos from that blog are taken with a camera from the Canon 1 Series and she uses wide angle primes… (I asked her via email.)
I want the effects also. That soft dreamy effect… It's probably done with photoshop right? If so, is there a name for it? How does one achieve it? I've wanted to know for the longest time.

Should i go downtown on a P. A. Day and take pics with my nikon?
Should i be afraid of taking it out haha? I'm 13 and its a nikon D5000 I'm getting, and i love photography so i even want to take it out to the ski trip should i? I'm a good skier and don't fall this is the last trip and is on a pretty mountain should i take it? Or not risk it?

Does any of the Nikon DSLR have sweep shots panoramic function?
I'm still deciding whether to get the Nikon D3100, D500, or the Canon EOS Rebel T2i. Give me a hand on deciding.
Also, are any of these have the sweep shot? I like panoramic shots. Or is it the matter of the lense? How?
Added (1). I meant to say Nikon D3100, D5000, or the Canon EOS Rebel T2i.

I'm getting the nikon d5000 and a 4 gb card how many pics will that hold and how many mp are there?

Should I switch from Nikon to Cannon?
I'm planning on becoming a cinephotographer and a photographer also, and the camera that I have right now is the Nikon D80. I had my eyes set on the Nikon D7000 solely because of the video function. However, recently I have been looking into more of the Cannon bodies and their photo/video quality; I noticed that Cannon has more color and has a better blur than Nikon does. So my problem is should I switch to cannon? Will it be worth it? I have three lenses from Nikon and I really don't want to start over and buy new lenses from cannon.

Looking for someone to critique my photography?
I'm seventeen years old, and I've been taking a class on photography for about four months now. I'm definitely still an amateur, and I know that, but do you think that I show some promise? And do you have any advice as to what I could improve on?

I'm still using a point and shoot at the moment, so most of the pictures you see on here are taken with that. However, a few are taken with a Nikon D90 that I borrowed, and the ones that are should be marked. About half have been edited through Photoshop.
And yes, if you're wondering, I did already ask this question, but I didn't end up with the answers I was looking for because I worded it incorrectly XP

Good beginner photography/video camera?
I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a beginner photographer taking pictures of nature (typically water) and of buildings and things like that. I also want the camera to be able to take videos - semi professional with editing software. I thought the nikon D60 was good for a beginner photographer but i'm not sure if it could take videos and if so i'm not sure it could take videos with editing software.
the budget should be around$400

Is the Nikon D60 really better than my Powershot?
I have been using a Canon Powershot sx0is with 20x zoom and 10 mega pixels, and love it, but am ready to move on to SLR photography. However, my budget is VERY tight so I haven't really even considered the possibility of buying any time soon. However, my friend just upgraded from the Nikon D60 and offered to sell it to me at 1/2 the price of what she paid for it 2 years ago. It is in good shape and she will let me use her book by David Busch that is a comprehensive guide to SLR photography with the D60. Seems like a no-brainer to me, except that I have been using it on a trial basis for the last week and have noticed that my pictures are not as good as those taken with the point and shoot. Is this because I just don't yet know how to use a DSLR? Should I wait to buy a better DSLR, or would I be better off getting the used camera plus a new flash and better prime lens (I wouldn't be able to afford extra lenses if I buy a more expensive and new camera).

What's your opinion on my photography?
