What are some of the best lenses for DOF like this?
Like this:
and this:
(That work with a Nikon D5000)

I currently have a Nikon D3000. I've had it for about two years and I'm about ready to upgrade.
I know the D3000 is a beginners camera, it's why I got it, but now I want a camera with better zoom and more features. I'm aware that I can just get a new lens but I want a new body and lens. I've had practice with better camera's then mine already so I'm not worried about getting a upgrade and not knowing what it can do. I just want recommendation's so I can do more research and then decide.
Do you recommend anything? My price range is anywhere from $800-$1, 500.

Which camera takes good photos and videos like these? - 1
I'm looking for an awesome camera(DSLR/SLR) that's under $800 and takes amazing photos like this
pic:
i know that the pic was edited but i'm a pro at photoshop so that shouldnt be a problem. I'm just looking for a camera best for personal/ family photoshoots for a trip that i'm going on for 6 months.
and can record a video that is clear like this
or anything close?
I was looking at a Nikon d3100 but i wasn't sure if it did a good job which is why i'm asking.

When using a Nikkor 70-200 MKII my D5100 will occasionally give me the f ee error. This doesn't make sense b/c the 70-200 doesn't have an aperture ring. I have used other lenses (14-24 and 17-35) on the 5100 and the 70-200 on other bodies (300s and 7000) and everything works fine. Nikon's customer service didn't want to listen when I said I was using a lens without an aperture ring. So my question is "has anyone else had lens-body communication issues with their D5100?"

What AF Area mode should i use
I have a Nikon D3100. I started out using the auto af area mode at first. Then, i found out that its better to use single point or dynamic. I gave it a try and i've been using single point for awhile now. But now i'm reconsidering. Since the camera only has 11 auto-focus points, does it matter? Also, the button pad is pretty uncomfortable. I like taking portraits with my 50mm 1.8 but since the camera has only 11 auto focus points, when i focus on the eyes, every picture looks exactly the same, dead center to the right or left. Should i stop using single point and go back to auto? Or should i should i upgrade to something like the D7000? I would love to upgrade but i'm broke and my parents won't ever let me sell anything that i have to get money. Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Canon EOS Rebel T3 (1100D) or Nikon D3100?
Which one is better for a beginner photographer whose had a Nikon P90 and is ready for an upgrade? I want one that takes clear pictures, has a good zoom, and a good focusing lens

I have been interested in photography for a while and have a high-end nikon point-and-shoot.
i know shutter speed, ISO, F-Stop etc, and would like to know if the Nikon D3000 would be a good camera for me.

Which is better quality: HDV or AVCHD?
I know that in "most" cases, HDV is higher quality than AVCHD even though it uses a simpler codec because of the super-high bitrate. None of the sites talk about AVCHD camcorders that get better quality than HDV, though.
But which gets better quality overall (not just by resolution), HDV (like on a Canon HV30) or AVCHD recorded on a DSLR like a Nikon D90?

Is there Auto ISO on the Nikon D5100?
I just recently got a Nikon D5100, and I was wondering if there was an Auto ISO in manual mode? I went to the menu and turned the auto ISO sensitivity to 'on,' but when I try doing it it says "This feature is not available" because of the cameras state. My camera is at 1 bar battery, but would that stop auto ISO in manual mode, or do I have to choose the ISO on my own in manual mode?

Give me your opinion on my Photography?
I reall like Photography. I started taking pictures about a year ago. & I've never stopped & don't plan on it. I don't consider myseld one of those "kids" or "teens" that just take random pictures of the grass & the sky & call it "Photography".Im not saying I'm just awesome or anything. I deffinetlly consider myself a amateur, at the most. I really love it though. I take everything I have with a Nikon D3000. This is my Flickr Photostream & Id appreciate it if you gave me your honest opnions. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. Tell me what you think. So thank you guys!
