Third party AF-S lens for Nikon?
I've been buying Nikon lenses for my D5100. Now, I want to move on to other manufacturers. I'm worried about the Auto-focus motor. How do I make sure that the Tamron or Sigma i'm buying will have an auto-focus motor in the lens? Thanks.

I happened to pick one of my friend's Tamron, and the focus motor did not work on my D5100.
Would be great if you guys can also give me info on how to figure out about the Image stabilization or Vibration reduction terms used by these third party manufacturers.
How to / How much to repair a Nikon D40 Mirror?
My Nikon D40's mirror has come loose, completely. It is intact and unscratched but has completely come away from the camera, I've tried putting it back in to see if it would stay in place but upon taking a photo it becomes dislodged again.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice or any knowledge on how much this would cost to repair?

This is going to be my first photography "job" and I seriously don't know what to do, I'm fourteen and I will be taking pictures of my Uncle, Aunt, and their two children.
I have no idea what the area we'll be at looks like, I obviously can't get up and go drive to it, I'm only fourteen! I'm glad they trust me, but I'm nervous, I've never taken actual photos, I mean I have but they weren't planned out and it was just a family day at the beach type thing. I just took pictures of the children playing in the sand and water, nothing "professional"
Can someone possibly help, I have a Nikon d5100 that I recently bought over the summer hoping to do stuff like this for the family, but I really wished that my family went out first so I knew it was okay if I messed up(if you know what I mean)
I'm worried the most about positions;
Do I tell them how to sit?
What if they're not sitting correctly?
Do I touch them and make it correct? (it's kind of awkward)
How do I position them?

Standing, sitting?
ect, ect, ect…
I'm also worried about how the area looks, the only thing I know about this place, is that they've got this small little chapel across the street.
If anyone could help and tell me what you do at a photo shoot.

Finding a Tripod with a Landscape Mount?
I don't understand.Shouldn't most tripods sell landscape mounts (so you can mount your dslr vertically instead of horizontally)? I have a very cheap tripod right now, but I will get another soon. And I want it to have this feature, because not having it is very frustrating.
