I really want to buy the Nikon d3100 DSLR camera?
I really enjoy filming as an art and taking photos and I feel that this camera is the next step on my journey. The problem is I can think of no other way to get the funds for the camera outside of taking photos for people which I can't do without the camera itself. I'm here asking for suggestions. How can I raise the money to buy the camera. (Don't say get a job because I do have one. Just not one I can really buy the camera on.)

Can I use other filters over the UV filter on my DSLR?
I just bought a Nikon D3100 camera and I also purchased a set of 3 filters. I attached the UV filter more as a way to protect the lens itself than anything. My question is, can I use the other 2 filters over the UV filter (they just screw on) or do I have to remove the UV filter in order to use one of the others?
Added (1). Thank you for the response, NickP. I'm so new to this… In which situations would I use each of the 3 filters? I have UV, polarizing and a fluorescent light correction (I guess that one would be used under fluorescent lights, huh?

Nikon D3100 not focusing automatically?
So I rarely use the automatic mode in my DSLR, but one day I did.everything was on automatic mode including the lens but I noticed that its not focusing automatically. No sound or adjusting.it'll just snap even though it blurred. You guys know the reason why this happen?

Camera settings for taking portraits infront of the xmas tree?
I need some information for taking portrait photos infront of the christmas tree. I don't have all that fancy stuff so please don't expalin with all that stuff lol I have a Nikon D3000 and the lense is 18-55. I have a tripod thats about it. What is the best settings for the camera for good portait photos infront of the xmas tree - or if there's other ways to make the picture look good that you can do instead of buying the flash that isn't attached and stuff like that. Thank you! Oh and what is the best for taking photos of xmas lights on houses - or like close ups of a single light - the flash will probably ruin it but if you don't use flash then won't it blur?
So my bulb in my flash on my d40 has gone and i was going to buy a nikon sb400 speedlight for my D40 then i was reading that it would only work on manual mode - i don't want to have to keep focusing the lense jus to use the flash - i expected it jus to work on normal autofoucs mode - will it work on autofocus mode or will i have to use my camera on manual?
My friend is selling her nikon d3100 for 500 pounds with the 18-105 vr mm and also a bag to carry it in and all the accessories it came with. It is practically new, she got it about two weeks ago but decided to get a d90 instead. I, however, have a budget of 500 pounds therefore it is perfect for me.
The problem is she lost the warranty papers and didn't register the warranty on the nikon website.

would this be a problem? Have you ever had problems with your nikon d3100 that would be too expensive to pay for if not with your warranty? I really want to get this camera but is it worth it?

Need solution for my nikon d60 dslr camera?
My nikon d60's pop up flash is not working. I can take pics without using the flash in every mode( P S A M) and AUTO mode also. But when i use the flash it is not firing. The in built popup flash gets open but no flash is firing and also i can't take pics because the shutter release button can't press down. But without flash i can take pics and camera works well as usual. What is the problem? And also there's some heat generating inside the camera in the left side when i continue trying to use the flash but no chance no flash is firing at all. Any hope that whether i can use my camera further?
i'm very much worried.
