I'm going for a trip to china Beijing this end of November. As I was told the weather there's quiet cold. So can D3100 be used in this cold weather?
My nikon d3100 has got a small crack at the bottom of the screen. It doesn't affect the performance of the camera but just doesn't look very nice. Its about 1cm long but is not cracked on the outside but seems to be cracked under the glass. Do you think I should get a new camera body? How much would it cost to repair?

I'm looking for a new Lens for my Nikon D3100, I already have the ones that come with the "starter" package which are the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm. I'm seeking a Lens that will be able to do clear portraits and be good for school functions. I have heard Tamron is a good brand, but know little about it.
