I want to buy a DSLR, nikon d3100?

I've checked out the nikon d3100 and i liked it (even though i don't know much about cams lol) but i don't know if maybe there are better dslr, i'm a beginner.recommendations?

i want a camera thats good for portraits, i will be using it a lot to take pictures of my self (with the timer of course lol)

My nikon D70s won't save pictures to my computer

My most recent shots won't save to my computer, the old shots will though. I tried 2 different computers but it still won't work. When I like the files where I save all of my pictures, it will show the old shots but the new shots will only have a file and a picture of a cartoon flower on it.

Camera help, please! Digital SLR photographers preferable

Hiya! I have a nikon d5100 SLR camera… I've been using it ever since as long as i could remember, and its done a great job at taking pics and stuff. So the problem… I recently left my camera in its bag, and decided to take it out and take a few pics. The screen said, "Error! Press shutter release button again." I'vs been doing that, but it appears to be that the mirror isn't flipping properly. It's like… Stuck. Can somebody explain to me how this happened and how to fix it, please?

Suggest a good tripod for my Nikon D7000?

I'm a beginning photographer, and I'm tired of spending more time photoshoping pics then shooting them. I want to shoot them good without photoshoping them too much. (For example: I hate to shoot with high ISO - there's no way to really fix high ISO in shop).So, I need a tripod for the camera. Especially for evening and night photography. Also, due to high levels of anxiety my hands shake too much, so all my pics never come out tack sharp - even in the day time.
Can anyone suggest me a tripod for around $100 or so?
What should I look for when I buy a tripod in the first place? I know they have to be heavy, right?

What are some cool camera lenses?

For a nikon d3100. I would like a fisheye but they're really expensive and I can't find one anywhere for a nikon on ebay or any other sites (if you have any suggestions for those please tell me though!) however, are there any other cool but not too expensive lenses for cameras?

I've been saving for a dslr camera for a long time now and I'd like to know which camera to go for.
I don't know whether to save a little longer and go for the d5100 or to just buy the d3100.
Is the d5100 worth the extra money? Does it have an external mic input to make good quality movies? Is the swivel screen a buggar or is it handy?

Nikon d80 For my first dslr.good idea?

SO i'm thinking of getting a nikon d80, this is my first dslr. It seems like a pretty nice camera. I'm not trying to go pro, i just want a decent dslr for consumer use like when i go on vacation or have holidays.otherwise i was thinking of a nikon 3100 as my other choice. What do you think?

What Speed Flash for Nikon D3100?

I'm very new to DSLR cameras, just bought my first (Nikon D3100). I bought a Light Scoop but want to look into getting a Speed Flash (that is what they are called, right? The ones you add on to your camera? Told you I'm a newbie… ) Anywho, what would be a good add-on flash, around or under $100, that I can use my zoom lens with? I can't use my zoom lens (my kit lens 18-55 mm) with the Light Scoop.
