What's a mini dv camcorder? - 1
Could anyone tell me what those things are?
I've heard they record good quality videos. Are they like the usual camcorders in which you have to record and then plug it into the pc or tv to watch the videos? Also do they capture good clarity pictures?
Actually i've to make youtube videos.could anyone suggest me a good one under 250$?
Or as an alternative should i go for a digital camera like the nikon l120?
Pardon my grammar.
Good DSLR for macro photography?
I was looking for a good DSLR camera for macro photography. I don't need one with many bells and whistles but I'd like it to have a fairly high resolution, around 12-14 MP. I don't have too much money so about 300-400 would be my price range. Obviously, the camera manufacturer would have to be one that also makes macro lenses and is reputable such as Canon, Nikon, Olympus, etc. If you have any other personal experience, feel free to share.
Thanks in advance!
Added (1). Sorry for the confusion, the price range is only for the camera body. I'm willing to spend more for a macro lens.
What are some good pro cameras?
I wanted to know what are some good pro cameras under 1000$. People suggested NIKON and Canon brands. I was also going to get it in bestbuy.
Added (1). I want both hd video and photos. It's mostly for photography.
So my teacher has a nikon camera and he uses a program called nikon camera control centre that allows the user to control the camera via the on-computer program
my problem is that i have a Canon so it doesn't work with me, can anyone tell me of a similar program that works with canon cameras?

Can I bring my Canon EOS XS Rebel to Radio City Music Hall?
I'm going to a concert there for the first time next months and my Canon is essential. My photos are very important to me, although I do have other cameras just in case. I have two detachable lenses. I want to bring the bigger one, which makes it sort of obvious that it's detachable… Despite that fact, who knows what the security guards might know about cameras, huh? I'm not sure how they even are about cameras there, but can I get away with the bigger lense on my camera if I don't bring my other lense in my camera bag?
I also had another situation where at The Nikon theatre in Jones beach I brought the camera and got away with both lenses the first day I went to the concert there. They didn't even check my bag. Then the second day they decided to check, and then wouldn't let me in with the camera, because I had detachable lenses. Mind you, I had both unattached in there. Maybe if I had had one on I would have gotten away with it. Anywho; let me know what will happen if I bring my canon with just the biggest lense attached! I think I could get away with it. If not I will bring one of my other cameras.
Just wondering.
What are some nice digital cameras that I can buy?
I really want the Nikon 1 camera but there's no way I can buy that, and it is way to expensive!
I have a few questions:
Will the Nikon 1 camers price ever drop down, and if so what will the price be?
What are some other good looking camers and good quality should i get?
NOT TOO EXPENSIVE THOUGH!
What difference does size of a Point and Shoot camera make?
There are variety of point and shoots in the market. Some are slim (the compact ones) nice enough to fit inside a pocket and other (those that look like SLRs) are quite bulky.
Even in the super zoom (guess that's above 15x Optical Zoom) section, cameras are available in both the categories and they still have big lot of features that will surely confuse the hell out of a common customer.
Question: I suppose there are some technical advantages (in spite of close optical zooms and similar features of the cameras below mentioned) of the bulky SLR style P & S, but I don't know it. Help me clear this out please.
I'm comparing cameras like Nikon L120, Nikon S9100, Fujifilm F500, Nikon P500 etc
I'd love to go technical with the answer until it gets too much.
