Is there a big diff.between the Nikkor 55-200 and the Tamron 18-270mm?
I mean does any body own both lenses and have seen a big diff.of the 200 to 270 mm? I wanted to buy the Tamron lens but I'm still not sure… Anybody?

Is it a good idea to buy both of these lenses?
Currently, I have saved up a lot of money and I would like to invest into some new glass I have been asked to do some portraiture and I was wondering if I should get a 50mm AND an 85mm or just one of the two.
Here are the two lenses I have been talking about:

Which one is best for portraiture? Or do you recommend having both?

I found a Nikon Nikkor E series 50mm f/1.8 Lens on eBay for $60 with free shipping. The lens is in "near mint" condition with no scratches, fungus, ect. The seller has is top-rated with 100% positive feedback. I'm just wondering if it is worth it or not. Thanks.
Added (1). I have a body with an autofocus motor inside.

How much is my old camera worth?
I have an old nikon camera (from the 70's or 80's i'd imagine). I can't find any identifying numbers or anything except on the back it says Nikon FM 2107836. Obviously FM is a type of camera but there are many versions of it… The lens is a Nikkor 105mm 1:2.5 and the number on it is 741394. I have seen similar lenses from 100-1000 dollars but I can't find the specific one I have… So yea what do I have here and what could I expect to get for it?

How to figure out what lens cap would fit my lens?
I have a Nikkor 18-55mm lens.

Where are these illusive mounting marks on nikkor lenses?
I recently kitted myself out with some new Nikon dslr kit and a variety of lenses, under the instructions on attaching lens it states that you need to allign the "mounting marks" on the camera and the lens as a first step. The mark / big white dot is very clear on the camera however, After ages of looking at all the lenses I have yet to find a corresponding mark / dot on any lens (they are all Nikkor btw). I'm managing to get the lens on but sometimes with a little trouble, but I fear doing any damage. I hope somewhere out there someone can advice. Regards

Diameter 18 - 55 nikkor lens?
