Is this lens worth it?

I found a Nikon Nikkor E series 50mm f/1.8 Lens on eBay for $60 with free shipping. The lens is in "near mint" condition with no scratches, fungus, ect. The seller has is top-rated with 100% positive feedback. I'm just wondering if it is worth it or not. Thanks.

Added (1). I have a body with an autofocus motor inside.

I'd shop around. This is an older MF lens and can probably be found with a body for around the same price.

I was just pointing out that you could get camera and lens for the price of this lens - and that it can't autofocus.

Series E is equivalent to AIS, so you might be able to meter with it, though.

Nikon's E-series lenses (manufactured from the late 70s to the mid-80s) were designed as lightweight budget lenses for Nikon's EM camera's, and lack the build quality of other lenses. Although their optics are not necessarily inferior, the cheapo, plasticky exterior definitely is. All E-series lenses are strictly manual focus, and must be stopped down manually, too, on a digital cam. Whether or not your camera's metering will (accurately) work as well with this lens depends on the model.

IMHO, $60 is pretty outrageous. Anywhere between ten and twenty dollar is far more realistic for a lens (in near-mint condition) like this.
