I dropped my camera and now the lens won't zoom?
I dropped my camera twice (I know… Stupid). Once on a carpet and another on a concrete ground in the span of an hour. When I tried and zoom, the lens was stuck but I could manage to push hard enough to zoom. But now, I can't zoom at all. The lens is completely stuck and when I push harder to zoom it, it makes a noise like I'm gonna crack it or something. I'm so worried I'll never be able to use it again. It's a Nikkor 18-200mm AF-S lens so it's expensive: S. Can it be fixed? Can I fix it? If not, how much will it cost to be fixed? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!
Added (1). LOL Jim A… I don't need your downright attitude and you almost looking down on me. I was carrying it on my shoulder and as I was bending down, it fell.

On amazon the nikon is £255 and the Tamron is £307, but what is making the tamron so much more expensive, as they both seem the same to me? Are there any differences?

What is the little semi-circular thingummy with a slot on old Nikon lenses?
This is a question that I have been meaning to ask someone since the 1970's but never got around to it:-)
I mean the little metal piece screwed onto the aperture ring as seen on this lens (scroll down for the bigger picture)

Added (1). Ahaa! So it is for metering! Does the body in turn use this lever to move the aperture ring to set auto exposure or is it simply to feed aperture info to the metering system for manual exposure?

Can you attach nikon f mount lenses to four thirds cameras?
I have some nice f mount Nikon/Nikkor lenses from some old film cameras and wondered wether it is possible to attach them to four thirds cameras like Olympus Pens, Nikon V1 or J1 etc etc
Using possibly an adapter ring.

i have a Nikon DX format camera. I need new lenses because the kit lens is becoming restrictive, but i'm also into street photography and my DSLR is just too big, black, "threatening", professional, creepy, and costly for the streets and besides it is for work.
BTW both are second hand, as i said. And both are functioning well too.

What & how many camera lenses and equipment should I take on a family trip to Disneyland?
I don't want to haul everything around for 3 days but want to get some great photo's. I have the following: 4 off camera remote TTL Flashes and several modifiers; an 18-55 Nikon Kit Lens; a 55-200 Nikon Kit Lens; an 85mm Nikkor Micro/macro Lens; A Sigma 18-250 Telephoto; a Tamron 10-18mm Wide Angle; and a Nikkor 35mm Prime.

Can I use my digital Nikon lens with my film camera?
I recently was gifted an old Nikon m90 film camera. I'm wondering if I can use it with my Nikon DX 18-55mm af-s nikkor lens.

I have a Nikon camera. I don't care if its a nikon lens as long as it will fit the mount, like a sigma or tamron. My price range is about 500 dollars. I would like the lens to work on dx and fx cameras.

I'm a beginner phoographer and only have this to use for now. Is the quality nice enough to produce pictures that will measure up to modern cameras even though this is a film camera? Any reviews of it are from years ago and I'm not sure how the camera compares to modern products. Pros & cons? I don't know anything about lenses but it says 50mm 1:1.8 AF NIKKOR on it. Any input on that would be helpful too.

Is an old Nikon n5005 worth using?
Any reviews of it are from years ago and I'm not sure how the quality compares to todays digital and modern type of cameras. Pros & cons?
Added (1). I'm not the best photographer and I'm not sure what type of lens. Seems like something pretty average? I don't know anything about lenses but it says 50mm 1:1.8 AF NIKKOR on it.
