Best time to purchase lenses?

I'm ready to purchase the Nikkor 105mm 2.8G IF-ED lens, however, I'm worried it'll become outdated soon. Is it safe to purchase and will likely remain the latest for three more years?

Added (1). Also, if you have the lens, what can you tell me about it?

Chromatic abberations Micro Nikkor 105mm?

I bought a Micro Nikkor 105mm AF-S lens. I'm getting a lot of chromatic aberrations, especially in high contrast areas (black-white, white-black). Wondering if anyone else has had these problems. Is it normal?

Check out this picture:

I took the picture at F/16, so the lens was stepped down. I know CA is normal at wide openings, but I'm not sure about F/16.

Do I have a bad copy of the lens? Lightroom does a good job removing the CA, but when I have a bit higher contrast I always have to fix it with lightroom.

I never had such problems with the Nikkor 50mm lens. I would be very grateful for any help.

Where to find lenses online?

I've been searching for a 50mm 1.8G AF-S Nikkor lens online, but it's sold out everywhere. Where can I search next?
(eBay has it, but it's from China. I'd rather avoid international.)

Added (1). I found a refurbished one online at the official Nikon store. Is it ok to purchase refurbished lenses? I'd really appreciate the 2-day-air luxury the Nikon store has.

Should I trade my lens?

Should I try to trade my Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 for a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8? Leaving me with a 35mm and a kit lens?

At the moment I'm saving up for an apartment (so I'm not trying to spend much) and only plan on doing a few portrait jobs on the side.

How to control Aperture during an exposure on the Nikon F4?

My confusion stems from the fact there's no aperture dial or control on the camera body. However, there are compatible lenses to the camera without aperture rings. For example: if I were to attach the Nikon F4 with a "Nikon Nikkor 70-300MM f/4-5.6G AF Zoom Lens".

How could I adjust the aperture during an exposure, given the lens does not have a dedicated aperture ring nor does the Nikon F4 have a aperture control?

Does this mean if I were to use a compatible lens without an aperture ring, I could only shoot in Automatic or Shutter Priority modes?

I appreciate your input in advanced.
