What are the best settings for an indoor shoot for my Nikon D3000?
I'm new to photography. My passion shows through my photos but most of the time, I'm simply just messing with the settings until I get what I want. I prefer to do photography in natural light and really wasn't up for an indoor shoot. It is an existing client so I couldn't say no. Here is the equipment that I'm working with: Body- Nikon D300
Lens- Tamron 28-300mm telephoto
Lens- Nikkor 70-300mm telephoto
Lens- Nikkor 18-55 stock lens
Flash- Nikon SB-600 Speedlight
I will be taking group photos and individual photos of a jazz band in a studio. I will only be using the equipment listed above. What do you suggest for group as well as individual and head shots. I would like a warm light.

NIKON D300S is going out of line?
I'm trying to buy a new NIKON D300S (USD 1.699) and I can't find it in any retail in USA? Not in BH Photo, Best Buy, etc and etc.
I called NIKON directly and nobody could give me a straight answer saying where and when it will be available
I suppose they are getting out ok market with this model.
Anybody has an idea of what is going on?
Any clue if a buy a Sony A77 or a Canon?

Nikon D200 lens filters. What size?
I'm looking at getting my boyfriend some lens filters for Christmas. He has a Nikon D200. The lens filters I've seen come in 50mm, 52mm, etc. How do I know which size to get? Is there a specific one that will fit on the Nikon D200 lenses? I'd just ask him, but it would give away his Christmas gift.

How to take photos of live music without flash?
I'm an amateur photographer and I was taking photos of a band last night. Without the flash was a nightmare for me because all the photos came out blurry. I put my flash on and they came out wonderful but I feel rude to the band, wanting to take a lot of photos and not wanting to blind and distract them.
I have a nikon d200, can anyone help me figure out how to get the photos I want without them coming out a mess?
Added (1). I have a nikon 18-105mm lens… What can I use that's faster?

Is the Nikon D300 good for a beginner photographer?
If not do you have any other suggestions?

I have a shoot tomorrow in an indoor swimming pool. The walk to the swimming pool takes me about 8 minutes from where I live. My question is, should I be expecting humidity problems. I'm planning on getting there ~1h earlier to let my camera aclimate to the indoor climate and then move on to the pool.
I have heard there are some tricks I can use such as separating the lens from the camera body and putting it into a zip lock bag, same with the camera body.
Also, bringing a blow drier along, I heard was a good idea also.
Any tips?

What is the difference between Nikon's EXPEED and EXPEED 2?
I've shot with a D5000 for awhile and now going into the professional field I upgraded to a D90 (I know not a big jump but I'm working my way up). But I was told that the D7000 is a better camera than the D300s MAINLY because of the EXPEED 2 in it. I know the d7000 has alot more pluses on the D300s (I don't get why the d300s is more if it does less besides FPS and AF points) But should for my next upgrade i want to know how big of a difference the two sensors are. Is there a big difference? Any comparison shots?

Where can I sell my Nikon D3X without being scammed?
I've trying to sell my Nikon D3X camera for the past 2 weeks in order to purchase a new car since mine died on me last month. I've tried ebay but both times I thought I sold the camera, someone tried to pay me with a money order and another person got banned from ebay within 2 hours of winning it. As for Craigslist, all I get are emails from people telling me to mail them my camera to Nigeria, that they just made a payment through western union. Clearly scams. All I want to do is get at least $4000 for my camera + lens & accessories as soon as possible. Does anyone know of a website or store in Miami, fl where I can sell my camera? I have pictures, receipts, and a paypal account. Please someone help me!

My Nikon d2x has a multiple shutter option but occasionally it will continue to take multiple shots after I release my trigger finger from the button. Somebody suggested cleaning the battery… Not so easy. In the meantime, I'm getting hundreds of useless 'extra' shots…
