What's a decent CF card for Nikon D3?

I have recently upgraded from a Nikon D300 to a D3. I was wondering what sort of CF cards I should get, so I can get speedy performance without breaking the bank.
I currently have a few 4gb Sandisk Ultra II's (15mb/s), though I doubt these are up to it. I'm not sure how big the D3 buffer is, off hand.

I do a lot of birding, so I usually use a fast frame rate. 6-8 fps.

Is the Nikon D600 just as good as the D800 in low light/high ISO conditions? - 1

I'm mainly dealing with conditions involving very low light availability without the use of flash and would like to know whether the D600 is just as good as the D800.

I need a lens for city photographs. Nikon mount?

I'm going to New York and wish to take the typical city pictures. I also need a new lens that helps create sharp pictures. I have a Nikon D300 and currently use a Tamron 70-200mm f/ 2.8 and a Nikon 50mm f/ 1.8. I fancy a wide angle zoom but I have no idea what to go for. It needs to be affordable but I don't really fancy going over f/2.8. I want a fast lens.
When I say affordable, I mean that I don't want to spend like £800 on a lens that Tamron sell for £200. I've had a look at the Tamron 17-50mm f/ 2.8 but there are mixed reviews on it.

Lens fell off my camera

Every time I press this button on my camera the lens falls off. I only got it a couple weeks on boxing day week, but it's still was a expensive camera. It's the Nikon D800 or 900 or something. I'm really worried my camera is broken now cause I can never get the lens to stay on. Is this covered under warranty? I'm really frustrated. Can anyone help me? Also where can I get my memory card out I forgot where I put it in?

Nikon D7000 and D300s upgrade coming soon?

I know Nikon is traditionally as tight lipped as Apple, but I've heard a few unconfirmed leaks. One was a D8000 or D400 will be released that will replace both cameras. Has anyone else heard anything?

Added (1). @ fhotoace - I own the D7000. I've heard lots of rumors. I've heard with the emergence of the D600 as a prosumer full frame camera release the D7000 and D300s will be combined to either a D8000 or D400 in a DX format with 8 fps and 24mp or higher sensor with 51 point focus. The D5200 that's coming out now is nearly equivelent to the D7000 with the frame rate (5fps) and 39 point focus. The only true difference the D7000 holds over the D5200 is weather sealing and magnesium frame and the speed of 1/8000 vs 1/4000, which I RARELY tap personally. Nikon is making several big announcements at the CES show on 1/8/13.

I'm thinking to buy a Nikon D800 or a 14-24mm lens, I've a D300s right now, but due to the budget I can only afford one of them…

Does anyone can give me a suggestion on which one I should buy?
