Fish Eye Lense Nikon D300?

I bought my daughter a camera last year Nikon D300 and she is asking for a Fish Eye lense. I'm finding Nikon lenses to be way out of my price range ($600-$900) and am looking for an off brand for about $300.

Realized when I started looking that I know absolutely nothing about cameras and after an hour of searching I'm hoping someone can guide me!

Fish Eye Lense for a Nikon D300 - what type of lense can I look for? I saw some out there brands Rokinon and Bower but I do not understand what fits to what. I was hoping to find something that said "fits D300" but no luck.

Camera accessories every beginner photographer should have?

I'm 13 and I just bought myself my very first professional camera. It's the Nikon D300. My fathers friend discounted this camera for me, as he bought a new one. Now, I've picked out a case. What else should i have? A cloth to wipe the lens, maybe? I have the charger, USB cord and lens cap, of course. I know there are filters you put on the lens to, for example, to lessen UV light. I want a couple of those. Do you have any suggestions? I don't want a new lens. The one I have is fine for now.

Anybody who has a Nikon camera? Nikkor 18-55mm lens?

My i recently dropped my lens (not the actual camera) of my Nikon D300. The lens is called
" AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm". The lens will go on the camera, but it doesn't stay well. It doesn't look like anything is missing or broken off but i guess there has to be! I wanna try to compare my lens with someone elses, so if you have this lens, could you please email me at reganwingo@ymail.com? I just need a picture of the lens from both ends please.

Nikon D4 versus Nikon D3S?

I'm an amateur photographer slowly starting to get more business. I do not know a lot about the technical aspect of photography to be honest, but I'm confident to say I can get some pretty great shots. I try to do a little bit of everything to get more experience. I'm in need of a new camera, I have a Nikon D70, which I got when I was around 11, and am now 20. I have no clue how to decide on what to buy. I love my camera, but it is time for an upgrade. Any help, or insight is appreciated.

Why isn't my Nikon D300 actually taking a picture?

Hi! So i recently got a Nikon D300.So this morning, i went to take a picture and it won't take it! It focuses and all, but it won't actually take the picture. My memory isn't full, I'm on P mode. I don't know what is wrong with it? The reason I'm asking is because I don't know what to look for in the manual. I'm new to photography and complex cameras. I got this from my fathers friend.

Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 focus confirm chip?

I'm looking to purchase a Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 aspherical lens for use on my D300. The lens is offered with or without a focus confirm chip. My question is, does anyone know specifically what this chip does? I know even with my ancient 50mm f/1.8 E Series Nikon lens my D300 can confirm focus. Does this chip for the Rokinon allow for that on the D300? Or does it only help to aid the camera's auto-exposure function (shutter/aperture priority modes)? I'm hoping my D300 is advanced enough to confirm focus without the chip, which I would assume is geared towards entry level cameras. Still, I'm not sure.

Any help?

Added (1). Thanks ace. Actually, the difference is about $40- I probably will end up going with the chip-inclusive version. But do you think the D300 will be able to confirm focus (green dot in bottom corner of viewfinder) without the chip? If so, I'd just as soon get it without the chip…

Solid standard zoom for a Nikon D300?

Looking for a standard zoom with the holidays approaching; and while my mind is open, I've narrowed my budget down to $400 and under. Some options I've been looking at are Nikon's 18-105mm VR, 18-55mm VR, 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5, as well as Tamron's 28-75 f/2.8 and Sigma's 17-70mm f/2.8-4.

Anyone had experience with any of these lenses?

Nikon focusing. How it works?

I have a Sigma 100-300mm f4 but it has a focusing issue (not really a problem), when focusing it flickers minutely when focusing. It causes quite a few unfocused photos when I really needed them in focus. I shoot with a Nikon D5000 and so the lens focuses with the lens focusing motor as the Nikon D5000 does not have an in built focus motor.
My question is whether if I bought a Nikon D300 (inbuilt focus motor), would the sigma lens focus better.
Does the inbuilt focus motor over ride the lens focusing motor?

Nikon D800 Battery from Amazon?

I wanted to buy a spare battery (EN-EL15) for Nikon D800. I searched on local stores and they are selling it in $99. Whereas Amazon.com is selling it in $58 and even in $19 (by Digi Electronics). I want to ask that is it save to buy cheaper from Amazon.com? Save means will I get geniune and original battery in $58 or $16?
P.S. I never buy anything from Amazon.com so is it always reliable to buy stuff from Amazon?
Please take a look on these amazon links.
