Nikon D7000 and D300s upgrade coming soon?
I know Nikon is traditionally as tight lipped as Apple, but I've heard a few unconfirmed leaks. One was a D8000 or D400 will be released that will replace both cameras. Has anyone else heard anything?
Added (1). @ fhotoace - I own the D7000. I've heard lots of rumors. I've heard with the emergence of the D600 as a prosumer full frame camera release the D7000 and D300s will be combined to either a D8000 or D400 in a DX format with 8 fps and 24mp or higher sensor with 51 point focus. The D5200 that's coming out now is nearly equivelent to the D7000 with the frame rate (5fps) and 39 point focus. The only true difference the D7000 holds over the D5200 is weather sealing and magnesium frame and the speed of 1/8000 vs 1/4000, which I RARELY tap personally. Nikon is making several big announcements at the CES show on 1/8/13.
The D7100 is rumored to be introduced in the first quarter of 2013.
The D400 has yet to be discussed.
I too, am waiting for the D400. My D300 is over 5 years old and ready for replacement (although it is still working just fine)
