What shutter speed to use in low light action photos?
I've got a nikon d3000 ( with a more or less useful ISO of 800) + 35mm f1.8 lens. I've started using Program mode without the flash but noticed some of my shot have become blurred. What shutter speed should I use? Or other settings for that matter, for the photos not to blur and not to be too dark either. I'm planning to take my camera to a concert and would hate for this to happen again.

Is there any way at all this lens can fit on this camera?
I have a canon eos rebel t2i, and i'm in love with the lens from the nikon d90. Don't think of me as stupid, please i just wanted to know even though its cannon and nikon, but if it isn't possible, is there a lens like that that will fit my canon?

There's nothing for me to photograph
So, it's the holidays and I'm bored, so I wanna use my Nikon D90 to take some good photos but my mum doesn't let me leave the house without her and there's nothing good to photograph at home. I don't have macro lens. I want to try high-key photography but there aren't suitable surfaces and I don't have a seamless white cloth. My mum's garden barely has any flowers, just green trees and bamboos. I'm not creative, so it's hard for me to think of things that I can photograph. Can someone just please help me?

How to set my nikon d60 to a softer photos?
So i totally envy my friend. He has a nikon dlsr cam too and the last time we went to a party he took pictures of us and the shots was so beautiful. Its not sharp. IT HAS A YELLOWISH COLOR. Something if a soft image type and its not striking (he has a speedlight and the flash is so good. I have a speedlight too) i want that kind of photos too. How did he do it? Does anyone know? My setting is in A and i'm in softer optimize image. I'm desperate.

I have the nikon D60 and want to buy a filter for my lens.what size?
I have a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. I can't find anywhere the size of filter that I would need. I'm looking to buy a Nikon soft #1 filter. Also, I'm not sure if I can put a filter on my 55mm kit lens. I have a UV filter on my larger lens that screws off easily, but the 55mm doesn't seem to have a thread to screw a lens onto. I'm wondering if the new filter I want to get could be used on both lenses?

Starting on Photography as a Hobby
I have been researching a lot lately (3 weeks) on all the entry DSLR cameras. First off, I do not think the Canon T2i would be good for me, because it is way to expensive. And I saw how much those lens cost! Yikes. Okay, so I just want to get into it, not dive into it. I was looking at the Canon XT or Nikon D50. Maybe even the XTi (all through craigslist so between 200 to 400$). I do not feel that the XSi would be a good choice for me because again, it is too new and people want 600 for it. I need something just to get use to see if photography is a venue for me to get my creative juices going. Please let me know what I should do? Canon is great because I do like the feel of it and it does B&W. Nikon because it is cheaper and uses SD cards! Let me know your thoughts on what camera I should get.

Best lens for Headshots using NIkon 3000?
I'm planning on buying a nikon d3000 and i want to take actors headshot pictures with it. What is the best lens to do this?

Used Digital SLR for Teen Beginner?
I want to get a used (read inexpensive) DSLR for my 14 year old girl. She has shown aptitude and responsibility with a borrowed camera. It would be nice to get into a product line that lends to upgrading - accumulate a few lenses and other accessories and eventually step-up to a more sophisticated body. But that's not required. It would be equally desirable to just get a lens and body that are easy to resell once the commitment to photography has evolved, and then move into whatever makes sense at the time. A quick-take has led me to the Canon 20D. A newer camera, the Olympus E-520 came on my radar today as I perused used cameras at stores in downtown Osaka. With the weak US $, both the 20D and E-520 seem to be in the mid-to-upper $200 range before tax. Maybe a bit less a Nikon D50. Although I love the selection in Japan, I think I can do as well back in the US, and I'm leaving today. Plus I'm not informed well enough to make a purchase yet. All three of these bodies are available on eBay for less than $300 right now. So with that price range in mind, would you care to weigh-in on which would be the best choice for my situation. Other cameras?
