Is there any drawback to buying a DSLR from Amazon?
They're cheaper on Amazon. For example, the Nikon D3100 that sells for $589 in camera shops is selling new for $529 on Amazon. Is there any drawback to buying from Amazon instead of a camera shop?
I own a Nikon D80 and am planning to invest in another lens sometime soon.
Right now, I have an 18-135mm, a 50mm, and a 28-300mm. Any suggestions as to what I should consider next? Thanks!
Added (1). The lenses I have right now do overlap. The 50mm was a gift. The 28-300mm was inherited. The 18-135mm came with my camera. I'm looking for one that will do something that mine can't.

Charging a battery with a solar pannel while its in use?
I want to keep a project of mine running for days without having to stop. Ill be out in the fields so i can't use an AC to DC adaptor. I was thinking can i use two batteries in parallel(same voltage double capacity) and charge them during the day while the project is still running?

I wil have a diode to stop my batteries from discharging during the night
The project will be my camera(nikon D80) doing time-lapse for days without stopping.

Looking for a good online learning tool for DSLR cameras
I've had a Nikon D5000 for about a year and am still not getting the results I want. Does anybody have any good websites/books/ebooks/etc that will help a beginner. I do not need to learn how to "photograph" I got into photography because I have been told I have a good eye for a great picture. I'm just having trouble with te technical features of the camera itself.
