Wide Angle Lens Converter for Nikon D5000?
Anybody know of a good (but not bank breaking ) Wide Angle Lens converter? I'm new to photography and caught the bug. I noticed on my last photo session (NYC) that I just could not get all I wanted and feel I was lacking. A new lens is not in the budget.
I seen converters that screw on but not sure which. I have a Nikon D5000 with a external flash, a 70-300 and a standard 35mm lens.
any assistance would be appreciated

How to set the flash sync speed on a Nikon D40?
How so I set the flash sync speed on my Nikon D40 camera. What is the difference between sync speed and x-sync speed? I'm using a pair of Britek PS-300H studio light with a hot shoe adapter (AS-10) and sync cord. Should the built in flash be on TTL or Manual? What other settings would you recommend, to ensure that only the Britek studio flash is triggered to light the subject?

Help choosing Nikon dslr lens?
I bought my nikon d3100 about a year ago and I'm thinking about buying a new lens (i have the kit lens now). I want something versatile and below $300 if possible. I was thinking a telephoto. I want to be able to shoot nice portraits and also get a good bokeh effect (lower f stop numbers than a kit lens). So give me any advice or suggestions on a good, reasonably priced lens!

Outdorr lighting for taking pictures?
I have recently gotten into taking pictures, and followed along with my sister's photographer when she had her bridal pictures done. As the afternoon went on and it got darker, he used a flash that was mounted on a tripod and had an umbrella on it. I own a Nikon D7000, what equipment would I need to purchase to have this same set up?

How to trigger Britek PS-300H Studio Flash with Nikon D40 via sync cord?
I'm using a Nikon D40 camera (with AS10 type flash adapter) to trigger my Britek PS-300 Studio Flash via a sync cord. When it is on manual the flash is not triggered. However, when the camera is placed on automatic the flash goes off every time. I try to shoot the cameras with the "pop up" down but after shooting a few photos it pops up (by itself) although the flash adapter and sync cord is connected.
How do I get the Britek PS-300H studio flash to fire every time on manual. I use camera settings of: 640 f5.6 and iso Auto. I tried several combinations of camera settings but none worked consistently well.

How to find the quality of a picture?

How to upload photos in raw from a memory card onto my macbook pro?
I'm new to SLR cameras and new to macs. I didn't know I took a bunch of pictures in "raw" (.NEF files?) and now I can't upload them. It actually won't let me upload any pictures from my memory card. I tried saving them to a folder and it just says "photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait for import to complete."
I have a 15" macbook pro and a Nikon D3100.
I've never uploaded pictures before and now it won't let me upload any of them. I've been waiting for these pictures to "import" for two hours now and nothing has changed.

Shooting RAW for 1st time, looking for Photo software for Nikon?
I have a D90 and naturally own the NX post processing software.
Is this adequate, I've read that other programs (Lightroom, etc) are better, less limitations. I'm ignorant of the pros/cons, as to date I normally shoot. JPEG straight out of the camera, but I've decided to take control of my images and shoot RAW for better results. That said, back to NX… Are there better alternatives (I'm sure there are), and why? (LOL, not expecting the long version of PP 101, just looking for insight/comparisons from those more knowledgable than myself.). Willing to pay up to $100-150, less would be better ;-D
Suggestions and expected cost. (D90, Vista OS). Looking for best bang for buck.hey, it may be the free NX, for all I know. Thank you in advance
Added (1). And again, first time shooting RAW and exploring PP possibilities, perchance the nuances of Lightroom and other more $$ software is really moot til I use NX, which may be totally adequate til I get a familiarity with it, utilize it and then get a feel for what I have… Or need?
