Nikon D40 auto focus fine, manual focus not working?
I've had this lens for just over a year now, treated it fairly well, carry it around in a camera bag.
Basically my auto focus is working fine, it will focus far away and close.
But when I switch to manual it won't let me turn it easily, just like as if it were in auto focus and you tried to focus manually.
I haven't dropped it, I have a neck strap so please don't lecture me.
I don't think it can be broken because it will focus in auto mode… Surely it can still move in manual?
Please Help AS THIS CAMERA IS MY BABY! Xx
Added (1). IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM Please READ ON BECAUSE All IS NOT LOST!
My wonderful father has found a solution!
The switch from auto focus to manual body was slightly twisted over the 'zoom ring' (I don't know the technical term - the part you twist to zoom in an out).
Just push this gently but firmly (it needs stregth but don't go too far) back into it's original place! VOILA!
Hope this helped anybody having an emotional breakdown too! XD

Which lens is best for Headshots?
I have a Nikon D3100. I would like some recommendation for a good headshot lens. I already have the standard 55 mm that came with the camera and a 50 mm 1.4 g. Will one of the two lens works?

Help photographing white clothing using nikon d3100?
Each time I photograph white clothing that has details such as beadwork, etc, the color washes out completely. I then lower ISO to 100' then the clothing shows a little better, but the model's face becomes extremely dark. I'm using a Nikon D3100.

60D Newbie and Crop Factor- Why the difference in Viewfinder?
I recently got a Canon 60D and I'm a newbie to having crop factor. I have the EFS 55-250mm Lens and the EF50mm f/1.8 II lens. When I look through my view finder with either of the lenses attached, things are so zoomed in it makes it difficult to get full pictures of stuff and people… I have to stand so far away just to get a decent shot. It has been frustrating to say the least because I was coming from a Nikon D60 which I could see the entire seen with no zoom.
When I was in an electronics store I was looking at a demo 60D camera; I thought I would take a look through it's view finder to see if it's any different. IT was so much different. It did not have the crop or the zoom and I was actually able to see an entire shot (Full Width). Why did the 60D on display have a full view without any crop but my 60D is cropped? The camera displayed in the store had an EFS 18-135
Can anybody offer some tips to this 60D newbie and explain why the difference in view is occurring?
