Help in purchasing a camera? - 1

I'm going to be buying a nikon d5100 within this next week.
There's one I'm looking at that includes the shoulder bag, a 4gb memory card, a 18-55mmVR lens and a 55-300mmVR lens going for 1200 dollars. Is that a deal? What are the essential lenses for this nikon?
There's another one going for 850 dollars including the 18-55 kit lens. With a coupon for 200 dollars of a 70-300 lens and 150 off a 55-300 with purchase of the camera.
I'd probably buy extra warranty on top of both of these cameras, but which works out at the better deal?
Is it worth buying the first one with the bag, dvd, guide and memory card?
Are they all essentials? Would it be cheaper to buy them separately?
Which lenses are the best? I'm going to be taking pictures of practically everything to start with. A lot of children, landscapes, and portraits.
Please help.

I'm going to purchase a Nikon D3100 camera with a 18-55mm Lens. Would it be worth my time and money purchasing an addiontal Lens to go with it? The camera and 18-55 mm Lens comes to £400 but the additional one would add about £200

Torn between two great cameras

I'm torn between the two following cameras:

Nikon d3100 and Nikon p500

i've weighed up the pros and cons, seems that d3100 is better, even though it is more expensive. The only thing i'm worried about is the fact that the d3100 doesn't have bracketing.i'm a beginner, but am well educated in camera functions. What should i do? Is bracketing a necessity in taking photographs? Any info or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
