What's wrong with my Nikon D5100 Camera?
Hey there so I just recently bought this and the sales man told me I could take a full hd movie with it so i got all excited went home and started taking pictures and all and it was amazing… The problem is when i clicked on that redish button for video nothing happens:/ and no i'm a careful kind of person i didn't break it or did anything wrong with it.
So, I have a Nikon D3100 and I've heard that the orange light on the charger is suppose to blink whilst charging. However, my charger just has a solid orange light throughout it all, and only blinks for about a few seconds when I put the charger in. Why is this happening? (Also the camera is new and has only been charged a few times and the battery doesn't last very long) Maybe this is the reason why?

I'm thirteen years old. I have a Nikon P80 right now but I really want to upgrade. My Dad just bought me a new MacBook so I won't be getting any help from my parents. The camera I want is the Nikon D5100.So far I have 200 dollars saved up plus I have -iPod Nano 4th Gen | Nikon P80 | Samsung SL30- that I could trade in. That totals up to ~140.00.So my total savings is 340 dollars. It costs 650. I mow the lawn and get 80 dollars a month. I still need money. How can I get it?
Should I trade my DSLR for an EVIL system? - 1
I own a nikon d5100. I shoot street photography most of the time. I also do events and some portraitures. I know the dslr has more capabilities, but I just want your suggestions and opinions about this matter.
The built-in flash is firing when a flash unit SB-24 is attached on my Nikon D5100.
But on page 202 of reference manual (D5100) they said "The built-in flash will not fire when an optional flash unit is attached".
What I'm doing wrong? Is there any issue to take into account this situation?
How to do stair trails on D50?
For my media project I've decided on doing stair trails, I will be using a Nikon D50
I was wondering what iso I'll need it on and f stop too, I know to used the bulb setting with tape to stick down the shutter

Which camera should I choose? - 1
I'm moving across the states and I wanted to get a DSLR for the trip. I was going to buy the Nikon D5100, but I'm not sure if I'll be "ready" to take photos on this important trip. So should I wait to buy the camera? The point and shoot I have is really good, and this would be my first DSLR camera. The camera is only on sale until Sunday, so I need to decide.
Will I get a shallow depth of field with a Nikon Pre-AI 50mm 1.4 Lens?
Just want to be sure before I set my mind on getting it! I have a D3000, by the way.
