What's the basics difference between canon \sony\nikon?

I'm a beginner photoagrpher, i wana buy a Dslr camera but i don't know what's the difference between canon digital cameras, nikon and sony…

i read a lot about cameras, and now i'm thinking about the canon eos 1000D and the canon powershot sx30 IS also the sony alpha 390 is not such a bad camera!

i want something with low budget and good quality imges but i'm still confused about getting the right camera for me… I hope you help me with that.

Tip for Macro/Micro Lenses, please?

Is that all the same? I just need to luck up how close they can get? Is there any difference between Nikon and sigma lens? Any other tips?

I'm going to buy a new camera. Which one should I go for? The Nikon or Canon DSLR?

I'm keen on the Nikon ones so which one would you recommend out of these? I will be taking pictures for a magazine so it has to be that kind of a great quality. If I decide to buy the Nikon, what lenses would you recommend? I don't think the Canon lenses are compatible with the Nikon camera (or are they?). I'm not averse to buying a Canon camera so it'd be great if you could recommend one from that brand too.

Lastly, just to reiterate, I need to take pictures for a travel magazine so the pictures have to be sharp and of superb quality. Also, the Canon 50 mm f 1.8 lens was a favourite (when I was using a Canon camera)… Does the Nikon have a good equivalent lens?

I like the whole drag and drop time line feel of Video editing software. I need something that can produce movies in mpeg and AVI but still with good quality. Video will be a Video Tour of a 1/2 Million Dollar home, shot with a Nikon D-5000. For a digital SLR this thing shoots amazing video. Will be taking the movie and uploading to wellcomemat.com. Will give HTML code to realtors web developer who will put it on the website. The local mlx will also have a link to the video.

My cameras lens is stuck out and it won't turn on?

I have an Nikon L22.while I was taking a picture, my friend grabbed it and tthe lens froze and started clicking and said lens area. So I tiried turning it off and the screen went off and the lens stayed out and now it won't turn on.

Any idea on how I can fix it? If its unfixable would it be too much to ask my friend to buy or at least pitch in for a camera?

Looking at getting a lens for my nikon which would be better?

I can't decide between the 24-105mm f2.8 or the 18-200mm f3.5. I like both because the 24-105mm has a f2.8 which lets in alot more light and easier to take at concerts or in dark palces. On the other hand the 18-200mm has a great zoom range but its f3.5 which is a little harder to take in darker places and doesn't give that much of a buttery background that a f2.8 gives. So with your expert advice, which one should i invest my money into?

Which is better a Canon or a Nikon? And which model should I look for?

I had a regular cool pix digital camera but the battery holder broke. Now I'm in search for a new camera but i would like a professional type camera. I have heard a lot about these two makers. What should i do. This will be my first pro one too. So any help is greatly appreciated.

Can I get better quality pictures with my camera?

Today I bought a Samsung TS65, and being 14 megapixels I expected high quality pics from this camera, but my 4MP nikon seems to give much better quality pictures. Is there something I can do to improve the quality on this camera… Cause the pics suck
