My Nikon S200 is taking pictures, then showing the picture after it's taken- but when I put it in "play" mode to look at my photos, the ones I just took aren't on there. New battery, memory card has plenty of room. The camera has worked fine before, the only thing different is the new battery. The camera was powered off when I changed out the battery and reinstalled the memory card.
I use a dslr but also want an old slr just for the fun of it (Preferably Nikon). I'm 16 years old so I don't know much about film so what slr should I get? I can probably find a used one for cheap. Any prime lens or short zoom lens will be fine but are there any ones that are 18-105mm or something like that? Or even something wider than 18mm or a fisheye because I shoot skateboarding. Does Walgreens develop film and scan it in the best quality? How much does it cost to develop a film roll? I want to see what the pictures look like, if you have links to your photos that you shot with an slr you can show me.

Is it possible for my Nikon Quick Charger MH-23 to work but not blink?
I'm almost positive the charger is broken, but I'm looking for a shred of hope here.
The light doesn't blink when either of my batteries are in the adapter and it's plugged in. No problem with the outlet because I tried every single one in my house.
Is it possible that it's still charging regardless of no blinking light?
Nikon Lenses mounted on Canon Body?

I want a good dslr camera able to take video but i'm so confused with all of the companies out there. I was looking at the Sony A33 but i didn't know if a canon or nikon or whatever was better. I want one thats no more than $800 and used for regular shooting.
I'm looking to upgrade from a compact camera to a DSLR. I currently own a Samsung SL202 and was thinking of buying a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 or a Lumix DMC-FZ100. I haven't really looked at Nikon or Canon cameras because I haven't enjoyed using their compacts in the past.
I want a camera that:
-has interchangeable lenses and a default lens as well (much like how compacts have one attached lens that is used for everything).
-is smaller, similar to the size of a compact
-has an internal stabilizing mechanic, so i won't always have to pull out a tripod
-has a manual viewfinder
-costs less than $750 new or used (just the camera itself)
If you know of a camera that meets most, if not all, of these standards please list it below; or if you know of another camera that doesn't quite qualify but is still a great camera for a transition form compact to DSLR list it as well.
