What could be the best option for a full manual not-DSLR camera?

Yes, trying to avoid bulkiness of DSLRs but retaining the full manual control and the best lens possible… A nice Zoom will help also but is not a must, since most of my subjects stand between 9-30 ft. I've heard a lot about the Nikon P7000 and the Canon G12, but I'm not sure if these cameras would fall short for a 30 ft subject.

A good un expensive camera?

Are there any really good unexpensive cameras from cannon or nikon that can shoot great quailty videos and take amazing pictures and snap shots? I think they highest amout of money I could spend is $300

Nikon D90-how do i set the timer to take multiple photos?

I went into menu mode, set the timer for 10 seconds and 9 shots. But when i try to use it, it only takes one photo? Are there rapid photo shots? Lastly, any recommendations for an inexpensive remote compatible?

Filter Help! 52 and 58mm lenses?

So I've need at least one filter for each lenses to protect them. The lenses are a 52 mm 18-55 lens and the other is a 58mm 55-300 lens, both nikon. I can't decide what to get, my price range for each is up to $30. I'm looking for a glass, anti-glare filter, uv optional. Cplfilter would be cool, or any others that you have been really happy with

Good, affordable fisheye lens, adapter or filter?

Does anybody know of any decent, affordable (as in under $150 or so) fisheye lenses, adapters or filters for Nikon? Not looking for anything superb, but just to take some mess around pictures/videos with not too much blur or fuzz. Any suggestions would be great and will pick best answer.

I gave Best Buy my Nikon a month ago, and It hasn't come back from the factory because it has factory warranty. If I go back, will they just give me a new camera since it's been so long? Is there a day limit?

I'm looking into getting a SLR camera. I use a Canon SLR camera at school. And I've had both Nikon and Canon point and shoot cameras. I was just curious on everyone's opinion as to what brand is better. Please back up your opinion with reasoning(:

Added (1). I got a Canon. From the Rebel line.

Added (2). And I know there are other brands out there. But these are my top two choices and I was just curious to what everyone thought. My heart was pretty set on getting a Canon before I even made this post.
