Best digicam under 10 k nikon or canon?
I have read several review which rates 1.canon 2. Nikon 3. Sony. I want a Digicam with 10 mp, 5 x zoom, HD video recording and good pics in low light, under 10 K.
Are there any places that sell good cameras for a low price (nikon, canon)?
I love photography, filming, and making stop-motion videos; however my little digital camera isn't doing me much justice. I want to know if there are any sites or stores that sell good digital cameras for a very good price.

I have a Nikon 1 camera but I can't figure out how to use the AF Area mode?
I recently got a Nikon 1 camera for my birthday last month, but I can't figure out how to use the AF-Area mode. When I try to select it, it says that that mode can't be used under current shooting conditions. Does anyone know what settings it should be on to use?
Added (1). I did read the manual, but it only explained what each mode does. Not HOW to set it up so I can use the mode.
