Is the new Canon 60D and the New Nikon D7000 an entry level or a semi pro dslr?
I'm new to photography and will be taking courses on it soon. I have been researching dslr's mainly the Nikon d5000, Nikon d7000, Canon Rebel T1i and Canon 60d. My goal is to buy a dslr that I can start out with (hopefully make a little money after I learn) as well as have for a while to make a career out of. I would love to have the Nikon d300 or a higher model but can't afford those at the moment. What is a good camera I can use for portraits, kids, and after experience… Weddings to start out with but can give photos a professional look? I'm not at all interested in starting with a film camera so please don't give advice or recommendations on those. Also can you please tell me which groups the cameras listed above fall into entry level or semi-pro?
Added (1). The courses I'm taking require a digital slr. The school has an introductory to photography class for film cameras and another introductory to photography for digital slrs.
This weekend i'm seeing a show in a dark theatre that doesn't allow flash photography.

My currently photography gear is Nikon D700, MB-D10, Tokina 12-24mm f/4, SB-600. The thing is, recently, my laptop has just been stoled by 'Mr farking nice guy. I don't have any other pc or source to upload the pictures. Or else, i only have to go to cyber cafe or asking for a help from my friends. I just bought this gear. Since i upgraded it from DX DSLR. I'm thinking to sell D700+MB-D10 and get MacBookPro 13Inch' and perhaps Nikon D80 or D90. Please help me guys. I'm dilemma. Btw. I'm not a professional photographer. I'm still in secondary school. I'm newbie in photograph.
I have a wedding job in next 2 weeks from now. While on the early next year, I have a 3 wedding jobs to be done.
My question is;
Is it worth to sell my FULL FRAME CAMERA and downgrade it to DX body like D80/D90 and get the MacBookPro 13 inch'? What will you do if you were me?
I'm think about purchasing a Nikon D300S. Is it any good?
Also, is there another camera in this class and around the same price that may be better.

Can you put Canon lenses on a Nikon camera?
I have a Nikon D300 and I have a family member who has lots of Canon lenses and they want to give them to me as I'm doing photography at A level. I was wondering is it possible to get some sort of an adapter so I can put the Canon lenses onto my Nikon camera?
I purchased my nikon d300 brand new a few years ago, it has had barley any use at all, but when i tryed to turn it on today, no power would go to it, i wouldnt even get the low battery symbol.
I charged both batteries and tryed them but still nothing, they appear to be charging but still no power, can someone help?

I'm planning to buy a Nikon D700, luckily my uncle is in Saudi Arabia right now. I want to know if it's cheaper to buy in KSA than USA. Somebody told me that it's cheaper in Saudi and I want to clarify if it's true. And I want to know the price range of Nikon D700 in Saudi Arabia if anyone can help me find it out.
