Nikon d300 not turning on?

I purchased my nikon d300 brand new a few years ago, it has had barley any use at all, but when i tryed to turn it on today, no power would go to it, i wouldnt even get the low battery symbol.
I charged both batteries and tryed them but still nothing, they appear to be charging but still no power, can someone help?

Sometimes the battery will be spoilt (i.e. It will not charge) if it has been kept in a fully discharged condition for a long time. I suggest you bring the camera to a shop and request for a test battery to see if this is the case. If it is, then, purchase a new battery and you are good to go.

Funny. My D300 hardly goes untouched for more than 72 hours.
Charge the batteries until the charger shows a continous light. Put a battery in the camera and leave it there for at least 30 minutes. If it still won't power on then there's a good chance the batteries are bad.
