Alight, first off… I have to start sometime or somewhere, so why not now.
1) I'm 17, and I'm starting up a little side business for my photography.
2) I have had tons of experience with the aspects of photography: and people tell me that I need to start charging for photos, which I want to do.
3) I think I have "decent" gear: Nikon D200, 18-55mm, 50mm f/1.4, 70-300mm, speed-light, 24" softbox, reflector disks/diffuser disks.
4) My question is, what to shoot for the portraits? I think I've got the "event" type for the reception, but I really need some help for posing, or "rules" for the portraits (engagement photos for example). I clearly understand that it's a creative art and you shoot what you want, but is there kind of a guide line? Maybe a book?
5) Can someone point me in the right direction to get some understanding of what to shoot for a wedding?

Going from a Nikon D200 to a D7000.is that an upgrade?
I currently have a D200, and yes, it's getting old in the world of technology…
I got it about 1 1/2 years ago, used on Ebay, for $550.
I want to upgrade soon, but I can't afford the D300s, and I WANT to save up for a full frame, but it doesn't look like the D700 is being replaced anytime soon…
So I was looking at the D7000 for my budget… Would that be considered an upgrade? Or downgrade?
Added (1). The main thing I was looking at was the high ISO range, and low noise control.

Can i upload pictures to my computer like this?

Self-timer lamp on my Nikon D300 won't turn off?
I used it for some self-timer shots, but when I turned it to a different shooting mode than self-timer, the self-timer lamp was still working prior to taking regular self-shot shots. I need to turn it off because it's wasting my battery and I don't need to use it. Looked it up in my manual and couldn't find anything on it.

Nikon 35-70 F3.3-4-5 any good on Nikon D3/Full frame DSLR?
I'm thinking of getting this lens to add to my bag, I have the following:
Nikon D3
Nikon 80-200 2.8 AF-S
Nikon 50MM 1.8 AF
My question is, is this a good lens to pair with my Nikon d3? Will I get good results and Image quality?
If not what zoom lens should I get? Lets put 24-70 2.8 aside cos I just purely can't afford that right now.
Another question is what primes is better Nikon 24mm or Nikon 35mm on D3?

Can this softbox work with my external flash? - 1
Http://www.adorama.com/PAINT484.html
I have a Nikon D200, and a cheap Bower External flash, that I can get off my camera with a Sync Cord. I currently have a mini softbox that was $8.00, and is only 4x4 inches big, and doesn't really do much diffusing.
Would the softbox above work? And if not, Do you guys know of any other octo-softboxes that would work, for around the same price (less than $50)?

When will the Nikon D400 be brought out?
And how much roughly will the D300s be after the D400 release?

What are the differences between the Nikon D90, D300, D3000, etc?
There are so many SLR's. What makes them different from each other?
