Can this softbox work with my external flash? - 1

I have a Nikon D200, and a cheap Bower External flash, that I can get off my camera with a Sync Cord. I currently have a mini softbox that was $8.00, and is only 4x4 inches big, and doesn't really do much diffusing.

Would the softbox above work? And if not, Do you guys know of any other octo-softboxes that would work, for around the same price (less than $50)?

NO, that is not designed to fit a flash. It is made to fit on INTERFIT light units. What you want DOES exist, I have even seen it on Adorama, but it costs closer to $100. I would give you the link but I have deleted it when I purchased my FIREFLY octobox made for hot shoe type flashes. My unit came with a bracket to mount the flash into the box and then the bracket mounts onto a light stand. However, for some reason, the Firefly kit is no longer sold in the United States.

Sorry, all I can do is tell you to keep searching. What you want DOES exist, but not likely at your price point.
