Going from a Nikon D200 to a D7000.is that an upgrade?

I currently have a D200, and yes, it's getting old in the world of technology…

I got it about 1 1/2 years ago, used on Ebay, for $550.

I want to upgrade soon, but I can't afford the D300s, and I WANT to save up for a full frame, but it doesn't look like the D700 is being replaced anytime soon…

So I was looking at the D7000 for my budget… Would that be considered an upgrade? Or downgrade?

Added (1). The main thing I was looking at was the high ISO range, and low noise control.

D200 is a better camera to use in a demanding way, better construction, more custom functions etc, the 7000 has better image quality, video, live view rear screen, but if there's nothing wrong with your D200 why upgrade at all, 10MP is loads for the majority of users, even pro's.

Sort of if you just consider the features.

Actually an upgrade from a D200 would be the new D300s

The D7000 is actually an upgrade of the D90

The D7000 may be able to produce lower noise at high ISO's You will have to do some tests to determine that.
